Can Some one Explained How Do the spousal marks work? ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

It seems Snake spousal marks are unique- with info yet to be revealed, but generally they are given if a female accepts a male and h loves her - they can be abandoned by being cut- but with the special snake ones if she still has feelings for him they won't dissapear. It also seems they can only appear if feelings are involved and a male can only give one mark his entire lifetime while a female can receive many. What are you confused about?

I think not, also Curtis bit her at some point while hugging her which might be when he gave her the mark- perhaps only ferals can do this- It has not been shown why, but possibly the pack animals need permission from the female to place the mark and perhaps mate with them first or something? This is still a secret to the readers. Might find out later.

I get that at the beginning she wanted to diverse for surviving or because she wants Cesar to marry Lady Lancaster but since it seems that it’s not gonna happen, why doesn’t she just start to love him the same way he does and help him to find a way (different from the novel) for defeating the empress with or without the Lancasters and becoming king?!!! Since none is obliging her to follow every single event of the novel not to mention the fact that a lot of different things from the novel’s story are happening themselves ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍ ヽ(`Д´)ノ
I totally agree with all the comments but I'm confused about something... Why also the princess was imprisoned? She was innocent and the Childe family wanted to frame just Linden's mother so this thing doesn't make any sense. Also why the two of them committed suicide after I think not so long? Because maybe after some time the emperor could have found a way to free them (at least the princess) and if not him probably Linden when he becomes emperor ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
