As much as I love this manga, I wasn't a fan of the seme's sleeping around so casually. I was somewhat okay with the nurse since it was with the intentions of keeping the uke safe. But when he had the 2 girls just because the uke didn't say Iove you back, I don't believed he loved the uke as much as he was saying if he could have a threesome while he's "heartbroken".

I say stuff like this on other manga and I get bashed, haha. Yeah, I hear you, especially since he loved Doc so much, it hurt to see him taking his energy out on women that didn't mean anything. BUT...he wasn't in a relationship or even lovers yet with Doc at the time, so Hot Yakuza Guy is free to do whatever he wants. I just want to know that now they both reciprocate their feelings and have "consummated" them, that there will be no more women.

I read this one manga pretty often again and again. And what I've leared over the past year is that I really hate Maya. He's an all around jerk most of the time. He creates random problems where there aren't any. He knows that Nemu is a scholarship student but he always gets mad when Nemu is prioritizing his school work. He said he was in love with Nemu but left him hanging after he said he needed to study for a test, what the actual FUCK? Then he was complaining that Nemu only had sex with him when it was convenient. That's dumbest fucking thing ever. It's more like Maya was always asking for sex, and sometimes Nemu said no...get a clue dude, that's how it works in life. And the most annoying part of that was then he decided (without talking about a fucking thing)he would just be a douche bag for the next couple of days and was planning on sleeping with another girl. He said he was struggling, but you don't go ahead and sex it up when you're that hungover your relationship, then he had the gall to make it seem like Nemu was in the wrong the whole time . And later when he sorta stops being a jerk, Nemu has a really big test he needs to pay attention to, and whadya know, Maya to the fucking idiotic center stage ready to make Nemu feel like an ass when really it's Maya being the ass. He still says he's in love, but he so fucking fickle about it, especially when Nemu has a valid reason to not be Maya's personal whore for a sec. And later when Nemu wants to feel good about himself by improving his fashion sense, Maya totally ruins it and tells him he wouldn't look good like that anyway. What the Hell?! He basically just said that even if he dressed better he wouldn't look better or fit in with the others. Seriously, who the fuck does that? (╯°Д °)╯╧╧ Please Nemu, find a better man, or Maya just get over yourself ヽ(`Д´)ノ

I see what you're saying but to be honest they were both selfish assholes at first. They've been good influences for each other. Nemu didn't care about anything but studying, which isn't a good way to live your life either. They end up balancing each other out nicely by the time they're college students.

yeah i kinda agree with you beside the fact that they're both selfish assholes. Nemu was selfish yeah for didn't care for anything beside his school..but maya wasn't what people classified as selfish..
he's asshole dickhead rebellious teenager who rapes/threatened poor nerd kid in the name of so-called "love or interest i don't even care to remember..
but now he changes into kinda a good guy so yes he deserves forgiveness.

I think it's like a universally agreed fact that the first couple of chapters aren't really in keeping with the rest of the manga. It's like Nekota Yonezou decided to take it in a completely different direction. I kind of ignore the first volume tbh, I've never re-read it; only from the second. Not to defend non-con situations, but it was pretty much back-pedaled from later chapters. So I'm not really talking about the rape/threatening thing in the first chapter because it's such a common plot device anyway, and not worth thinking about for me... All the popular mangas have it - Koisuru Boukun, Sekaiichi Hatsukoi... I don't like it, but there's a lot of things I don't like. I just put it down to a somewhat cultural difference.
I'm talking about his selfish behaviour in regards to what the OP was talking about - about thinking that time with him is more important than studying/anything else. And they both get over that, and come to a nice middle-ground.

yeah..once again i agree with you
but still rape isn't cultural things in asia & never gonna be -__-

Nekota Yonezou said that, indeed, Maya must have been a real jerk at first, without any regret concerning his behaviour (that's why he blackmailed Nemu and raped him). But, as she was writing the story, sha made Maya changed unwillingly.
At the end of the third volume, in her author's note, she said she received complains about Maya's evolution in this book but she answered that everybody had to grow up and become adult. So, I also think that we can "forgive" him because he was a kid and was really less mature than Nemu.
I also think that Maya is insecure, possessive, jealous but deeply romantic. He really loves Nemu but he still lack of maturity and doesn't know how to express himself sometimes.
For example, when he forbade Nemu to get lenses and keep his glasses, it's because he finds his glasses sexy (we can see it when Maya and Nemu are watching a girl on TV and talking about her). Maya doesn't want Nemu to buy new and fashonable clothes, change his hairstyle, etc because he doesn't want Nemu to attract and seduce another one.
He still has to grow up, be calmer and less jealous, less insecure but it takes time.

Well, I agree with you. Actually, I don't really like any of the popular semes, like the one from Katekyo (sorry, forgot his name), Kurose-kun from Ten Count etc. The only exception is Asami, bc he's hot (so shallow...), but mainly bc Akihito is strong enough to deal with him.
I hate this attitude- "I raped you? Big deal. You gotta love me now or I'll go cranky/leave you and you'll feel guilty". And that's exactly how Maya is. Yeah, he changed. A bit. But he never felt sorry for his actions (maybe I'm mistaken, but that's how I remember it) and he's soo demanding. They can have sex anytime, but, nope, it has to be before the exams etc.
Now, even if he changes, I'm still gonna remember the stuff he did in the past. I know it's just a yaoi manga and I'm not supposed to take it so seriously, but well... ^^
I still want to see a manga, that doesn't treat the rape situation so lightly and the seme who atones for his sins.

I totally get everything that everyone has said in this reply thread...so I'm not going to repeat everything, lol. I also thought that Maya was (and sometimes still is) a big jerk. Blowing things out of proportion that really shouldn't have been that big of a deal in the 'real world'. However, when you're a teenager (at least when I was..) things that minor really WAS your world. And Nemu wasn't without fault too. When you're in school, even if you SUPER busy..you still manage to text your friends right? Let them know you can't meet up or hang out because of school? Nemu like..COMPLETELY went off the grid to study. That would irritate me too (not enough to threaten to break up though, lol). A lot of people have the mentality (a valid mentality) that if you REALLY care about someone or something, then you WILL find a way to make time for it. Back to Maya though, I feel that since he is VERY attractive (you HAVE to admit that...at least, lol) that he sometimes gets a pass for his rude behavior, lol. I'm glad that he's matured a bit, and realizes that there are more important things than fucking all the time.

Both of the semes manipulated the ukes in some way. In the first story the seme said he needed to hold himself back, but from WHAT?! He wasn't even going anywhere, it's not like he was "saving their relationship" all he did was act like a douche at work and home. And then indirectly shut him down, then right after he just suddenly decides let's just do it right now, what even? Then the second seme was playing around (okay he wasn't having sex but he knew that's what the uke was thinking so he might as well have). Then he went and stole his potential love interest but was easily forgiven because he wasn't actually having sex wit all the girls he flirting with..And he said he loves you. That makes everything okay in yaoi apparently. Plus his excuse was he was keeping all of them away from the uke, but none of them even cared who he was, so that made abso-fucking-lutely no sense whatsoever. All in, they're delusional. And even the girl led him on, seeing as how she already had a boyfriend.. (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

Exactly! Makes me want to throw something, grr. The end particular irritate me, when the uke called the seem "kind"....based on what???

The second story reminds me of thise story made by ootsuki miu where the seme uses this shinny lip gloss as a lube lol
the seme literally took all the girls that had an eye on the uke not only that he fuck ukes gf too
amazing ( ̄∇ ̄")

Can you tell me its name, please?
Thank you!

I agree 100%. I didn't care for any of the semes. Even in the third chapter, the seme came across as a bit of a jerk. Basically, I got this "ye okay as you are, but I can make you so much better" vibe. That was a total turn off for me. I would rather someone love me for the person I am than who they believe I can be. No matter what the seme said at the end, it just didn't come across as sincere when the whole story involved makeovers and an affirmation that the seme would continue trying to change him.

I really couldn't stand Ryo. Everytime he did something wrong to the Shinpei (I think that's his name) he'd say something lovey and get away with it. For one, he embarrassed him front of everyone he worked with and told him he sucked at modeling without even once offering him advice. 2, he stole all his jobs with the excuse that they would be apart if Shinepei became successful. What the hell!? That's the whole point idiot, he wants to be be successful, he's not just a model for grins and giggles. And in reality by stealing all of Shinpei's jobs he did the exact thing he was trying to stop, the difference being that there wasn't an actual good reasoning to do it unlike if it had been Shinpei getting to further his career. Ryo was ALREADY succedsful, so of course it wasn't as big as a deal for him. I didn't even read to the ending because I couldn't stand how they all just blew off whatever Ryo did even though his actions reached a whole new level of idiocy.
I love the coloring so much, specifically the fact that they keep yellow and blue for the main characters. Not only does it make it easier to distinguish different characters, but the dynamic just looks so perfect in every scene ヽ(`Д´)ノ
