Already the world puts women down, men put women down treating them inferior or knowing they can get away with abusing them mentally, physically, or sexually. Look at what the crown prince did to her. But on top of that for other women to scorn the woman and put her down, allow men to get away with what they did, and ruin a woman’s life and put all the blame on her in the name of marriage is a precious. What BS is that. Most of them will never learn until it happens to them and you should never have to go through something horrific to have empathy towards it.
I know we as the readers know everything about her, but I’m just irritated at now only how her beloved home was destroyed, all of her personal belongings were taken away and just distributed for others to take away (yes I know she didn’t care that much but still) and how they all dare to judge and treat her. I also wished she wasn’t a virgin, but it seems like no matter how old they are even if they are a thousand years old they are still “pure”
Does anyone remember the chapter when Sienne cries and her family hear’s it. I’m trying to remember the chapter when she’s at the academy, but it’s been tough and she ends up crying over the talking device and her grandfather and her two brothers are absolutely devastated. I don’t believe she has met her father yet. Also what’s the story with her mom and dad and did he really have three kids with three separate women?
There is another Chinese story similar to this. Now because I have read so many of them, I can’t remember many of the tropes. However, there is a scene where she receives a gift from a traveling guy (turns out he is her maternal uncle) and she gifts it on her grandfather’s birthday and while everyone looks down on her it turns out to be a rare treasure. On top of that she is so smart that both Deans of the top notch colleges want her, fighting over her and bragging about her at the same party in front of her grandfather. Would appreciate the help of what’s the name and what chapter.
It’s this one thank you so much. I know these stories have such similar premises, but they are quite fun to binge. I’m glad I rediscovered it. I had it saved, but there is no way I would have been able to find it after reading so major stories. Guess I got to make a list dedicated towards these Chinese mangas.
I loved how she was portrayed to be so cute, yet sadistically dark. I would have loved if she had experience as well since she lived for so long. And yet her character just crumbled from chapter 8. On top of that what’s with the small scene showing her giving a gift box to the younger version of the ml (or I’m guessing it’s him), but then not expand upon it and rush the last chapter. Had so much potential and the art was amazing only for it to go down..
I literally can not wait for Ines’s second husband to reappear appear in her life and to see her current husband’s reaction/jealousy and have the whole past revealed. I feel like I have been waiting for forever for this moment.
True. Most people follow cliche trends in imagination. Manhwa also withhold info from them. The morning after Ines’s near death experience, she reaffirmed her desire to live alone and die peacefully without making mistakes. She added that not even the artist can get in her way. Ironically, Carcel whom she didn’t see as a threat is the one that changed her mind. Look at that episode where she remembered her past self who encouraged her to start her hobbies again. She also admitted that now she wants to live instead of living to die. All because of Carcel whom she credits as her safe zone or ‘inside the border’.
However, my main issue is why they are all somewhat “respecting” the grandfather. He was the one who cheated on his wife, not only had a child with another woman, but also expected his adopted son to raise the child. No wonder his wife would despise the child, but what she did was completely wrong as he was an innocent child. No point showing a sweet moment of them together as a couple, because all of them were people who allowed her to walk over Chris. His parents, his brothers, and his grandfather despite knowing what the grandmother did was wrong. On the other hand I feel for this woman, she couldn’t have children and her husband disrespected her by not only cheating on her, but keeping the child close by. Ultimately I see the grandfather as the villain.
That’s my only issue, otherwise loving this story and I’m glad that the sister in law wasn’t made a villainess evil lady, but one who was stuck in traditions.
