It's true that the main princess is truly charming and cute but her siblings are too. She get special treatment. I won't be surprised if her sisters and brothers will want her death. They are all just little kids. How can their father be fine with them killing eachother and give special treatment to the only one child. That's so unfair and uncool. I really love the princess look because I always favoured white haired characters but I feel bad for the rest kids. Also this story show other kids like people who become slaves for her cute look... That's disappointing and somehow annoying. I really wish to see all of these kids to get along in a peaceful and happy way... without any threatening, fights etc. (〜￣△￣)〜
It's a good manga but a LITTLE TOO MUCH. If anybody look for love story - this is not the manga you look for. If anybody looks for violence, death, rape - you got it.
The main character is just a pityful young boy in my eyes who got caught in Harem Life. Where women - not actually women, but girls - had to give their body, love, hope and life to a man who never cared about them. Even thought this may have a happy ending for the main character one day... that will not change my opinion.
I ALSO PITY THE PRINCESS OF THE DYNASTY... She was created as a villain but in reality we all know that such things really had happen in times like that where two women / candidates for love hated each other and tried to destroy life of the other one. No matter how vilain she was, getting to know that she lost the love she fought for, she lost her virginity, honor and was raped is something I WILL NEVER APPRECIATE.
The whole story is twisted and hard to digest but I could see a little light in it. However it's little to little. The UKE is not only UKE... he is like the bottom of the bottom, as for the SEME... I haven't seen more toxic SEME than him.
Maybe it will have a happy ending for the main couple but the rest are just pityful children for me.
Ahh, yes. The life of women in cultures who allow polygamy. It's especially so in Asia (China especially). There are times where I'd wish for a manhuwa where the women in the harem would band together and overthrow the emperor but I doubt it would come in my lifetime.

This manga is so twisted.
It has wonderful drawing but that would be all.
All these monster-girls just die after being used and that make me unsatisfied and regretful to read this. Also other than girls sex scenes there is actually nothing. The other unpleasant thing is that this guy (photographer) is everywhere and it makes me feel like this manga was made for guys curiosity or fun but it has almost nothing that a Yuri manga should have. I feel disappointed （￣へ￣）
I actually pity that girl, Ruo'er. She was always considered as prostitute's child and was seeking attention from everyone. Hated the one who had everything from the start (I mean her sister). Then in the end she was created like that by the author and so "raised" like that by that shitty father. I really pity her. I would myself prefer some better story for her especially - happy ending (something like they reconciled and decided to forgive eachother). All this story is somehow way to dark in my opinion. Yes thus is the thing with Chinese novels/manhua. They're always so black and white, bearing grudge, face slapping (ironically via the heroine having a rich guy). For a nation that stresses collectivism they have as much empathy between each other as cats and dogs. To me elegance is handling conflicts without being dragged down in negativity of face slapping.
1. They all look so alike. I can't even recognize which one is which.
2. Harem life is surely the most painful and the most toxic life I had ever get to know about.
3. The emperor is just an asshole... Like actually all emperors, sultans and kings. Getting so many wife's, concubines and lover and break them one by one.

Well even if they look the same, they constantly refer to themselves by their name, or title's, so it's very easy to keep track of who is who
