For the sake of the story, he needs to be imperfect and have some weird or bad characteristic in his personality in order for him to change thanks to teach and their relationship. i know pple are starting to hate on him, but honestly, it's just a story. and for them to fall in love and all that they have to go through some shit and both change each other in some way. wouldn't it be boring otherwise? (well, maybe not boring, but still)
And he already changed a bit, cause before there was no one he actually cherished. What i do wonder, is what made the teach so special for gunwoo to fancy him in the first place. was he gay to begin with? i mean he was being flirty since day 1.
