This hits too close to home. When I visited relatives of ours and had an argument w/ a "cousin" of mine. Instead of finding out what happened, our aunt immediately sided w/ her not realizing my sibling and I were being outcast by her and our other so called "relatives", mainly due to language barrier. Stating we should all get along. Long story short, she is no longer my favorite aunt but just my "aunt". She became a stranger, and I never visited that province afterwards.
