Yo speaking as someone who was raised by an adoptive father, just because the child isn't blood doesn't mean they don't gain their father's personality. I'm so much like my dad it's frustrating and I'm sure she'll have some of her dad's personality too we saw her as a newborn and some official art as a toddler, gosh she's so pretty I'm glad she's finally here

Ngl, as someone who went to school for a teaching degree and taught for 5yrs (before burnout) this is exactly how it feels sometimes with parents... I had a mom exactly like the boys mom... emailed me all the time saying her daughter was doing nothing wrong, upset she wasn't getting the support she needed (im a special education teacher) when she definitely got it she just skipped classes, had her annual meeting to update the daughters paperwork and mom was saying no one is doing anything to help the admins are being too serious blah blah blah. It's fucking draining... i know this is fiction... but man... it resonates
