McLeod (the imbecile man that FL was forced into marrying) is no longer her husband. As planned, the FL divorced him as soon as the duchy was stable, even though McLeod had fallen in love with her during the eight years she worked hard to resume the land’s stability. (It’s all worth reading since he rarely appeared!) Also, McLeod actually matured during their marriage (but is no longer in the picture).
Now, as of chapters 21-24, the FL is engaged with her childhood friend and first love who became a hero to a nation overseas. She’s braving a new society in a different kingdom and helping learn how to care for his land as a soon-to-be madam. As far as I know, she is still chaste after the marriage with McLeod, but high and mighty, uppity noble people seem to think otherwise and consider her a “devil woman.” She’s clever in making them speechless without getting outwardly angry.
Nah, he got this. It seems he played such roles in his previous life as a supporting actor? Our MC totally got this. He really smart too and can see through their plans.
