there is very little drama resulting from jinhyeong meeting with his ex. the boys really love each other. jinhyeong i think wanted closure from his past relationship; for both himself, and for his ex. he’s a responsible partner to uyun. have some faith!! the author really created the perfect characters in a time where all the popular manhwas are filled with mc’s incapable of communicating with their partners. this was absolutely a conflict that could have been used as a way for the author to extend the story in a relatively easy way, but they instead used it to show just how much jinhyeong has grown. i would truly be so happy to read many, many more chapters of these characters just existing with one another, and that speaks to just how well written they are, and how entertaining their dynamic is without any unnecessary conflict.
That's the thing tho we get a million chapters of books where nothing happens cuz the characters refuse to communicate just so the story can be dragged our forever cuz apparently no other plotlines are allowed in yaoi but then when we do get fully fleshed characters which actual personalities and growth the book ends cuz authors aren't allowed to just write fluff I guess

i totally understand the frustrations, absolutely, but she’s a teenage girl who has a crush on someone; someone that she was, until recently, in a relationship with. obviously she’s going to want to continue pursuing byul if she still likes him. as a teenager, i probably would have too, if i felt there was at all a chance. i think she’s too pushy, and needs to respect byul’s boundaries, but she is being pretty.. normal? if she takes things further if & when byul sets boundaries then that absolutely isn’t okay. sometimes, and this isn’t just exclusive to the comments on this manhwa, people are absolutely vile towards woman/girls in bl manhwas. at times its justified and other times it’s gross and borderline misogynistic. commenting “push her down the stairs” about a teenage girl trying to get her ex back is WEIRD.
would like to add: if BYUL kisses her, if HE decides to go along with what she wants and get back together with her, then, as annoying as it will be, that is HIS decision and i really hope the comments won’t be filled with hate towards HER. you can dislike her, her character is there to move the story forward & add conflict between ml & mc, but the immediate jump to wishing her harm or straight up hating any girl in a bl manhwa will always rub me the wrong way.
jinhyeong is so silly i love him so much… but if he closes himself off again because of a misunderstanding HE will be the one dragged by his hair.. i will be dragging him STRAIGHT to uyun & his ass is being held there until they talk shit through!!! leave your ex in the past bae!!!

If you haven't read one before, this is dom/sub universe. It was the first alternate universe I read after a/b/o, and personally I really enjoy it (even more than esper/guide, and ESPECIALLY more than the newer fork/cake :P ) Basically if you didn't know or figure out already, there are doms who are "S"s and subs who are "M"s, and the rest of the population are norms with no secondary gender. Subs and doms do "plays" together, which can be extremely basic (the example here being feeding the other) to intense (BDSM/sex) which satisfy the desires of both the doms, who have a need to dominate and give commands, and subs who have a need to obey and be rewarded. As part of a play, "commands" are given by the dom which the sub instinctively obeys (but can be used nefariously, too). Commands are often bolded or in a different font or background color. In a trusting relationship, both the dom and sub are satisfied, but they do not necessarily have to be romantic partners (of course usually end up as such in these stories). However, if that trust is broken, or the sub is not properly given after care (praise, rewards), they may experience "sub drop" which can be detrimental to their mental and physical state. On the opposite end, if the sub is completely trusting of their dom, during a play they can enter "sub space" which is a euphoric state. As proof of an established dom/sub relationship, the dom may give their sub a collar (or something akin to it). In some dom/sub worlds, there is also such a thing called a "glare" which the dom may use to fend off other dom's, but it can also negatively impact nearby subs, too. In a few of these stories, there are different ranking doms/subs which are S, A, B classes and so on, but most of the ones I've read don't have that.

Okay, not necessarily a fork/cake fan, but I've looked at a few - though god I can't take them seriously! It's essentially kind of like a/b/o but with "cakes" and "forks." Cakes being people who taste sweet to forks, who can't taste anything except their one special cake. And I guess tasting is like licking/tasting bodily fluids/cannibalism/honestly I don't really know. They have a thing for anybody who is a cake, which usually means sex, cause yaoi.
