Yet another poorly done Slavery plot

I hate it so much.
Why do all these rofans bring it up just to completely forget it when the mc is done benefiting from it.
I understand that slavery was a thing back in the day but since it's a fantasy made for modern audiences, why even bring it up?

    It'd make more sense if they actually tackled it and then looked at how different slave groups fought for their freedom. But no, it's always just "given".
