I read most of this before but never finished it but dude??? It's genuinely really good like yeah it's stupid and yeah the plot is inconsistent as hell but it has really sweet moments and pretty art. Also it's really fucking funny it's so unserious (until it's not and gets really genuinely emotional???)
I'll be honest, it seems like the author was kinda just freestyling cause at the beginning it seems like Lagabi and Deacon kinda know each other and then each time there's a new flashback their relationship develops retroactively in a way that doesn't line up with the beginning of the story lmao. Like... Okay, so they're panicking and stressed about having sex for what seems to be the first time. Lagabi seemingly acted disinterested in the past and Deacon was rejected. Lagabi mentions Deacon not getting hard from anal stuff the first time. But then we get a flashback to when they're first getting the orichalc and Lagabi is fingering Deacon while they're frotting, like huh?? Okay man. Go off ig lol i don't care.

The demon king sucks and yet is somehow endearing? It's probably because of how the characters react. But idk the shit with his "mom" took me out the portraits and her being like "no the artist was just bad" lmao happy for her and Leon I guess???? Him taking care of the snakes because he thinks they're Deacon's children and yet Deacon has a literal son and this mfer is like "ya I could kill him" what is wrong with you bro (he's so fucking funny).

Now. The meat of my feelings: Lagabi. I'm surprised so many reviewers dislike him. I personally am obsessed with him he's SO insanely gorgeous like Deacon I get you dude I'm fully on board, that man is the most beautiful mfer around and the ice queen energy </3 I love it. Every single time Deacon isn't looking and he's blushing like crazy and then Deacon looks and he immediately just reverts to `-` ass expression. Love it. Deacon is funny bc why tf is he the strongest dude in the world yet is constantly being manhandled by the demon king and can't break free like bro just run away you're literally like mario invincible star mode but as a baseline.
