Dude, the simultaneous combination of him crying and saying he's sorry and then convincing himself/thinking he likes it is so???? I'll actually cry, this shit HURTS. I did see someone saying a lot of people question the morality of even drawing this, which is fair. It's a bit of a grotesquely detailed depiction of trauma. But also, I think that shows how much a victim's mind can be screwed with. How they struggle to separate the pain and pleasure and the fucked up complicated relationship. Jesus.
Like, he ONLY has this man in his life. That was his kind father figure. It's so gross and sad and no one deserves this shit.
Like, how does a kid reconcile abuse like that? Especially being told "you were thrown away." Like, it somehow twists his mind even more because now, the ONLY person he had (bc the creep ensured it was like that) suddenly is gone and you're told you weren't wanted by them?
TL;DR, this fucks someone up for life and the story is way too real but this authors works are very thought-provoking
Anyone have any recommendations for Bisexual love triangles where the gay couple ends up together?
Alternatively, any BL where the main character has a crush on someone but ends up falling for someone else (like in My Love Mix-Up or Heesu in Class 2)
I'd also be happy with a BL with a love triangle where the "second option" is actually endgame (underdog wins kind of situation or even something like the drama light on me)
Thank you!
DUDE? Good fathers make me want to cry. As everyone said, it's totally valid for Kota to be bratty since he's just a lil guy, but ALSO! I love that Aoto is so good at mediating. Since Kota and Take are both hot-heads he can slow them down and talk things out.
I really appreciate that Kota was allowed to be grumpy, that there was a reason he was upset and they could talk to him and resolve it and show they love him.
And I love how at different times, each of them noticed why Kota was upset. Take's mom noticed he had a fever, Aoto noticed that they just dismissed him instead of explaining things, and Take realized how his words might hurt Kota.
ALSO!!! Adults apologizing to children!!!!! So important and they do it so well in this. This is just such a perfect little family cause they're not totally perfect.
But seriously, adults apologizing is so nice to see bc my parents rarely apologized to me (but always made me apologize.) It's nice to see they're raising Kota by example.
And the boy being sad not bc having two dads is weird but bc he's jealous?? I'll cry. I loved how they reassure Kota that his family might not look like everyone else's but they're a family no matter what :""""")
I always love the depth of this authors characters. Take is a bit of a mess and doesn't fully know how to raise his kid BUT he's SO worried about being a good dad that you can tell he's inherently a good father :""") all the times he feels remorseful or inadequate :( but Aoto reassuring him??? Ugh I love partnerships.
(Also, fire smut. I will not elaborate.)
