i genuinely hope she just worded it wrongly, i think she might’ve meant they “shouldn’t” be togheter in this small village because she’s scared they’ll be treated badly since she’s been neglected herself - like in the sense that she doesn’t want them to go through hardships since she knows how shitty it feels ??

idk it just seems too quick to call her homophobic rn - i just think she’s trying to look out for someone she’s known a long time but going at it in the wrong way :,(
