I'm not a fan of age gap but I 'Respect' this form of love.
Honestly I think it's not logistic to date someone who's more than 6 years younger (This couple's was 10 years tho)
People change and 10 years feels like two different generation with different life struggles and experiences.

But no one can limit Love. I respect all form of love :)

nah, he wasn't toxic and i think he handled the situation pretty good actually. let's be real, irl if that stuff were to happen to you and u see ur gf/bf accepting something from someone who hit on her/him you prolly would have handled that situation much worse than how kotaro did. people are saying that 'it's just a card' but that card was given with MOTIVE and INTENTION so it's not something entirely innocent at all. altho!!! we also gotta give masako a learning curve and understand that she's new to this thing and made that mistake unintentionally. it's good that they communicated and made up at the end tho and didn't prolong the argument and it's good that kotaro was able to communicate effectively about what and how he felt abt the situation and masako's actions bc if he just kept to himself it would have turned into resentment

I personally like how they handled this! Imagine Asako's character development. If she were back then, she won't ask Kotaro what happened because she'll be too scared of his answer and ponder herself alone, hurting herself too in the process. And I like how Kotaro told his honest feelings too! They communicated their anxieties well which shows their trust to each other little by little. I think this was nice! Asako did a good job understanding Kotaro and Kotaro realizing that his jealousy may be a bit excessive. It's just the start of their life living together so we know there'll be more drama but I look forward to their new journey together hehe

i do think that kotaro's jealousy is a bit excessive! he didnt need to yell either. but he has a point, he just doesn't know how to express it well. i think business card takes a really big role in jpn its like ure letting other boy saving his number on ur phone or something. i think its the first time hes feeling this way, same thing goes to asako, kotaro's literally his first boyfriend! so im glad they dont hide it, asako did good of asking whats wrong. kotaro shouldve done better.. but yeah...
i read the raw and drama train started so lets goooo

Ah my heart feels suffocated...but I don't hate it. I dont know why but stories like this make me tear up for no reason. When he leaned in to kiss him but didn't...instead he looked at him and waved, I thought "Please don't kill yourself
Please dont kill yourself. Please dont..." since he felt disgusted with himself because he thought he was his father.
Fuck I was holding my breath and was soooo relieved when he showed on that bike. And that monologue actually make me cry...and I dont know why. I dont cry easily but there was something very sad about it even though it was happy.
I hope the confession happens soon. Please be happy. This story is a gem. Thank you to whoever uploaded it here. May god bless you

Y'all keep saying that this is sexual and that she is a pedo but this is nothing of the sort. The scene yall are refrencing a lot is the scene where she gets on top of him. That is how a lot of parents restrain a child to where the parent and the child don't get hurt. The most "pain" he would feel is of that of some weight on him. She is ot being sexual she is just restraining an out of control child that could possibly hurt her or himself.

The fact that y'all see this as sexual is really bothering and disturbing. This is a story about a caretaker who happens to be a woman and a child who happens to be male. Because y'all see that they aren't related, then y'all start to view everything they do as sexual. That's gross. It really shows how people view women when they are around males. Even children apparently if they aren't related.

And not to mention y'all were talking about how the woman is drawn sexually but she isn't?? Y'all will reference a scene were her breast are in it and have y'all not met a woman before?? Women have breast. In certain angles breast look different. It's ridiculous that some of y'all view having breast as something that is sexual. Please grow up.

Maybe people who are more versed with the tale of Genji will be able to offer an insight, but from a vague knowledge Genji was a bit of a prick wasn't he? Yes he was very much of his time and status, a womanizer who wasn't that nice to his ladies, having an incestous relationship and raping one of his girlfriend's brothers when she refused to sleep with him! This version of "Genji" seems very tame and polite in comparison, even if he did think the MC was a nun.

Idk I'm probably exaggerating but one of the reasons I've stopped enjoying BL when I've started getting older is because of fandom and unfortunate seme/uke dynamics.
What's more I just can't stand how BL readers infantilize and feminise guys with bottom preferences in bed, calling them: their angels, babies, baby boys, cinnamon rolls, their girls, gurls, goddesses, queens, bitches etc.
And I hate seeing how Seth is going down the same path. People take so much from his character which is so rich, interesting, morally gray, badass and coddle him like baby deer.
Or calling him pwetty uke and things like that. My stomach literally turns. Also I've seen the art created by fans and I was so turned off. Most of them "ukeished" Seth so much he is barely recognisable. He is smaller, slimmer, without much muscles and Horus (or whoever the artist paired him with) is much bigger, more stereotypically manly.
I don't understand the appeal, I have to be honest.
I said it once I would love to see Horus and Seth as a switch couple, it would really match them well but I know switching in yaoi is some fuckin unicorn.

I've been reading this manga since it was first uploaded, and at first, I was really enjoying Arte's story. The manga had a really interesting take on late Renaissance Venice, including its more optimistic view on how gender was viewed back then. However, after study art history and learning about the actual Artemisa Gentileschi, which this manga is presumably named after, it's really disappointing to see how little of Gentileschi's life is incorporated into this. Especially the newer chapters that indicate certain feelings towards Leo, her master, when historically what her outside mentor did to her was horrible... Also, the real Gentileschi was really cool and suggest any art nerds go check her works and life story out!

When Masamune was struggling with letting go it was really sad, everyone wanted him to move on but I think that it's still fine to hold on and go at your own pace. Like I just wanted him to not push himself, it made me really sad. I also felt bad for koharu when she pushed herself, she had to grow up fast I think. I felt like the main characters all had to grow up fast. But I don't care for the office girl really, she was really immature which was what I expected and there's not much you can do since everyone is pretty selfish until they make it a conscious decision not to be. ANYWAY Great story with a lot of feels.

I think this might be one of my favorite slice of life’s especially following the relationship of a father and daughter. I cried a lot for them while reading, but I loved seeing them grow together. Tbh a lot of the side characters at first glance, gave me bad vibes and sometimes appear really judgmental, but you grow to love them and all there imperfections. Tbh the characters having so many faults were kinda refreshing to see. The only thing that truly bugged me about this story was when characters were rushing Masamune to get married even when he was clearly not ready to move on. I believe It’s okay to take time to heal from a love one’s passing especially in Masamune’s and his daughter’s case. Overall the story is amazing and I recommend it :)

This series deals with a lot of heavy content, a lot of real world issues that ppl don’t talk about, like rape, grooming, pedophilia and yes, LGBT content does fall under “stuff ppl try to pretend doesn’t exist.” Am I happy that they all got thrown in together? No. Did I find this series interesting, even though it made me uncomfortable? Yes, because sometimes stories are written to inspire negative emotions and that’s okay! If you can’t handle it, pls don’t force yourself to read it, but if you do read it, don’t hate on it. It was your own choice to read this, illegally, and for free.

164 chapters of a manga is far sure more of a commitment to read than 164 chapters of a webtoon, but it's worth it. The MC may start of annoying, emotive etc but it's a story about growth and his poor behaviour isn't left unchallenged which allows for growth. Guess today people would slate this as being "cultural appropriation" but it was interesting seeing how the Japanese patrons of the more rural restaurant were at first given a guide on what to expect from Italian cuisine (that pasta was eaten al dente etc) and how the chef used the spirit of Italian cuisine and adapted it with the ingredients to hand.

So is Charles Henri gay? Or not? Like he has so many homoerotic moments with the characters that makes me wonder......your thoughts guys?

Could you please not spread misunderstandings and stigmas any further? Also, while Psychopath......

i know a lot of people dislike the ending, but...i kind of loved it. i feel like it fits the overall story and is wildly realistic. they’re taking things slow, and my personality is similar to gahee so i’m assuming that when she stays devoted and says that she loves his smile, she’s really just saying that she loves him. she just hasn’t been in a proper commitment long enough to openly express it and i get that! sungha is so sweet though and i’m glad she’s opening up and he’s maturing. sometimes cliffhangers are the best type of ending! <3

I’m dumping my own thoughts onto here for future reflection.

Arte is a very interesting character, she can be kinda annoying but it’s nice that she’s a pretty realistic character even though she has to overcome some strong discrimination. She reminds me of Yona from Yona of the Dawn, another female character that can be annoying but combats stereotypes in a fresh way. I like her a lot and BRO I’m simping for Leo so hard it’s not funny. I don’t want Arte and Leo to get together I hope Arte’s feelings morph into more platonic over time, it’s possible I’ve had crushes that went away. In the story progression I would feel better if it didn’t turn into a love triangle or something ya know. I hope Leo has more of a chance to talk to her, he’s kinda anti social in general so he probably doesn’t exactly know how to have the friendly type conversations you would need in a friendship but also I think that’s what separates them into that mentor-mentee relationship. Leo is a good teacher figure and I hope it doesn’t turn romantic.

But what is up with people hating Isis but loving Seth? Everyone seems to just ignore that he almost forced Isis to marry him/rape her. He drove her away from her home and then when she hid, he murdered anyone that reminded him of her? Obviously, he is a victim of Osiris and what happened to him is horrible. But he literally tried to pull that same thing on Isis, like I feel that makes it worse because he understands how it felt yet tried to do it to someone else. I just want to hear your guys thoughts.

FYI, I don’t hate Seth, I actually really enjoy his character. I’m just wondering why people hate Isis and ignore all of Seth’s? Like is it because he’s a victim of Osiris?
