This is why these idol webtoons will never come close to being as good as debut or die.
MC there is gen smart and talented. He doesn’t go out of his way to look after others and truly strives to be the stand out. Neither does he have ridiculous cheat codes so he isn’t overpowering his teammates at all and their individual popularities are pretty close.
His char is relatable and has a soul, he is his own person but this shit here solely exists as a perfect saint.

A group like that works, but the kinda group portrayed here only gets to benefit with mc’s handouts. There’s no incentive to like or support them. Everyone including Mc feel like bland npc’s in a two dimensional setting
I’m glad that his talents got taken away for a sec so that he wouldn’t be so reliant on the library.

This is cringey but it’s not bad as the chars keep growing on me.
MC is bbg, he’s the androgynous gentleman type, the perfect idol. He collects everyone as his fan
His bandmates get some attention as well so it doesn’t feel like one dimensional writing.
The company management make me rly mad. They treated him horribly in his 1st life, it wasn’t very smart of him to stay with them although I know he did it for his friends but they all either ghosted him or kept in low contant after he sacrificed all his youth and career for them.
I specially can’t comprehend how his supposed bestie yoojoon didn’t reach out to him even once. It hurts knowing this idk why he loves them sm
They probably left him to rot away on his own because they didn’t have the courage to face him or some bs excuse like that, but fact is no one was there for him at his lowest until his death, that’s just fk up.
I wish he would’ve gone off to a better company because HE is the the star, he would’ve shined even more under a better management with more recourses.

psychotic Hyunwoo arc would have been good, I needed him to be hospitalised in the psych ward for a while. In my book madness is always a welcomed extra touch of spice

This trope of abandoned daughter can be so cringey if handled carelessly. The quality of this webtoon obviously isn’t the best and it falls under the cliche category so there are a lot of cringe worthy moments.
It’s the same trope as Penelope but that one will feel completely different because its of much higher quality.
Nevertheless this webtoon isn’t bad either. I like MC’s personality because she’s truly nonchalant and unmoving when it comes to the ppl who did her dirty aka her family.
I find it cringey how they’re all suddenly grovelling at her feet, acting like obsessive hound dogs now that she has changed. It’s just ew, such elementary writing. U cannot just disregard their entire personality and reduce them to this regretful yet somehow entitled family member.
In that sense it’s quite childish, I mean if you couldn’t already tell from the artstyle lol.
I’m very happy with ML choice, the typical crown prince route is completely discarded here.
I didn’t rly wish her to become an actual part of this family because it’s hard to forgive their past treatment of her. But I bet author is going to whitewash them with some typical excuse like they were under the influence of magic or sum.
I liked how in “I raised a tyrant” mc’s fam had no excuse and she left them behind to live chocking with regret.
I wished we saw that kind of development more often

They remind me of Lana Del Rey songs. The brother is obviously in love with Charlotte. Kind of creepy, but wild to think he has had his eyes set on her eversince they were children, killing all of their other siblings in the process.
He’s a manic but kinda hot… It’s the genes because Charlotte is a vixen herself.
I feel bad for ML for being involved with the Noha family.

What began as a promising story quickly deteriorated into mediocrity. The MC becomes so soft and overly kind in this timeline that she no longer stands up for herself. She’s somewhat aware that she’s also a victim, but she refuses to actually acknowledge this fact.
She’s set on unnecessarily punishing herself, like she’s to blame for everything.
“My gOaL iS uR hApPiNesS”—atp it’s so cheesy that it’s downright annoying to hear.

I absolutely don’t enjoy watching a woman sacrifice her own dignity and prowess for any man. Idgaf whether he “deserves” it, because she certainly shouldn’t be treating her own life as insignificant compared to his.
She could still help him out without compromising her own dignity. It’s starting to look like a kink, she wants to be stepped on by ML so bad.
Not to mention, no man deserves such self sacrifice from a woman. Also, isn’t he a mass murderer? That’s literally what “war hero’s” are.

I read fmc stories to enjoy a genuine female pov, not to witness such a poor char portrayal. Like I’m not convinced even she agrees with her own choices.
She has become a far duller version of her past self.

Her approach to helping is unnecessarily ridiculous. Instead of simply demanding the ring back, she chooses to beg a judgmental old hag—from a family with no real worth—to stop despising the boy she’s hated her entire life, despite having no valid reason for it because she’s simply too stupid.
In doing so, she rly ends up making a fool of both herself and the duke. Like her choices are so bad that I’m getting second hand embarrassment from her.

MC is a badass god sentenced to becoming a system reincarnator in order to wash away the bad karma that he gained by signing a blood contract to save his own destroyed soul after a battle where he slain the evil emperor of heavens. He’s almighty, cunning n merciless.
ML is the god whom he signed a contract with and a loyal discipline of his which MC has forgotten after being driven to madness in the heavenly prison which could be the system.
ML took revenge on all the other gods who sentenced mc and became the new emperor but it’s yet not clear to me why they’re now both stuck in the system.
It could also be ML’s doing to heal MC and his own soul

ML instinctively trusts and loves him and he retains his memories from within the system which is why they always get tgr with no hurdle.
It’s them vs the world kinda setting. That does make it kinda boring to me, it’s nice to have a power cp in some arcs, but following the same formula in every arc is too much.
ML is always love struck at first sight n MC is ofc also already in love
I’m very frustrated with the fact that two good gods who saved the world are being punished unjustly.

Something about this manhua does feels empty, I think there are a few contributing factors.
Storytelling is rushed as they try to fit a lot within too few chapters, the focus is only on mc and his relationship with ml so there’s no world building, the plot is repetitive as they use the same forumla in every arc; mc taking revenge on ppl who did him dirty and his relationship with ML immediately progressing to the final stage. Everything is too predictable hence there’s very lil angst. Arc 2 is my fav by far. Author has set that 50 arcs are their goal, hopefully their deliver

Ugh I hate the duke family sm and had hoped she would escape with Damian to somewhere far away. The current angst is decent but not for long because there won’t be any revenge. The dukedom isn’t even being portrayed as the villains here. They may not be the main villains of the story however they sure were the main villains of her life. It’s just very disgusting having to tolerate their hypocrisy. This could’ve been a good revenge story but it’s not. Like the usual garbage it’s all about a saint like MC who forgives her abusers because that’s how a good female should act blegh
