In the first timeline, it seems ML had always harbored romantic feelings for MC on a subconscious level. While his reasons for killing MC were never specified, it’s clear he was deeply obsessed with him.
He became mad whenever others flocked to MC due to his flirtatious nature.
Internally ML struggled with conflicting emotions—his forbidden love, avenging his mother, appeasing the king, and his duty as the CP to pursue a relationship with the high ranking noble woman that was dating MC.

This inner turmoil led him to lash out at both of them, resulting in their deaths. He resented the woman for hogging MC and hated seeing him share with others what he wished they could’ve had tgr. The feeling of love, coloured with hatred had long since turned dark, twisted by their sour relationship and unfulfilled desires.

Some panels MC is drawn so beautifully that I can’t help but love looking at him. This manhua is nothing groundbreaking, but it’s still a fun mindless read.

In the first arc, the second personality was so sweet that it gave me butterflies, but his charm wouldn’t have worked as effectively had it not been for the main personality’s presence to pmo & spice things up lol.

In the second arc, MC’s stupidity was really highlighted, which I didn’t like. That said, the plot itself wasn’t bad, so I still enjoyed it, just not as much as the first arc.

Third arc can be considered gender bender since MC decides to let ML willingly mistake him for a girl. The suspense gives me a much needed rush of thrill. ML shows major possessiveness

NPC Charlotte is so hot! I don’t like how FL turns into a doormat for ML, no matter the psychological factors at play.
I’m not feeling ML, he’s a doormat who blindly obeys all of his evil masters whims—including the slaughter of many innocent lives. He’s literally a war criminal, so no, u cannot make me feel sry for u. It all falls on his own horrible decisions in life.

Honestly, I get why the game system is so determined to punish him. Even if its motives aren’t rooted in justice, it feels like he’s getting exactly what he deserves. The nerve of him to act like some morally righteous person when his hands are drenched in blood.
It pissed me off how he continuously stopped Charlotte from teaching those bandits a well deserved lesson.

Sigh ngl I might just prefer her NPC self. I was so hyped for an MC who seemed like a true villain, but she’s becoming more human as the system strips away her buffs for breaking the rules.


Still, it’s a really fun survival read! To keep things interesting, they both need to go yandere—which ofc won’t happen.
