I’ve a theory that ML romantically loved og MC. It’s already said that his reason for killing him was unclear so maybe he had conflicting emotions regarding his subconscious love (MC) and the woman that he was pursuing getting together which resulted in him lashing out at both. Unfortunately the novel left many loose ends so this was never explained. Hopefully the manhwa answers this question
