It was okay to read until the cp met then it became kinda boring idk why but despite this manhua having everything n objectively being rlly good, it’s hard to keep my interest. First reason is MC, I don’t like saint like chars they’re especially not interesting enough as a protagonist. I need a cruel mf who will bring turmoil everywhere he goes
Coincidentally enough I’m also not a fan of dog like ML’s that will follow MC n do everything for them. Maybe do so by the end of the story but right off the bat is just too bland for me.
I need more drama n angst which is why I usually go for enemies to lovers n such
So ideally multiply ML’s personality n give it to MC, to top it off make them both stoic

You need angst? Read the novel, this shit is so damn good I feel like you’re missing out if someone doesn’t tell you to really get into it. I get you don’t like the kinda ML follows MC but there’s a reason. Both of them have suffered and the ending is so satisfying after all the tears and crying don’t give up on it!

It was a bit short but really good. At first I was utterly repelled by the rapey scenes however bad times ended quickly as she gained control of everything.
The MC is cunning n isn’t a pretentious Mary sue like Rosaline for example lol she’s not a villain but leans towards being a grey character that serves justice cold.
Blaine was my first choice as the chemistry was out of this world and I wasn’t let down, however the spin off with the prince was very surprising n nice to see.
It’s sad that the Story ended as soon as marriage happened. It would’ve been nice to see past the main plot n her growing older. I’m left wondering about her family n everyone else’s lives.
Hearing she passed rlly breaks one’s heart, it seems to have been from natural causes but we’re rlly left in the dark with sm questions.
Had it been me, I would’ve given everything to have her as my wife
Although ik it won’t happen, a final arc is so needed

At Some point the story was getting a little too much. The repetitive plot of Ha Ji getting beaten up by everyone... although I did enjoy reading it seen as I’ve spent two sleepless nights on it lol.
I think it will be a memorable manhwa I’ve read, but definitely not one of my favorites.
Now let’s get into the storyline. I found it extremely disturbing that Te Hu called a literal fresh born baby ‘sexy’. Can’t get that scene out of my mind; it’s haunting. Even if it is the reincarnation of your lover or soulmate at that, it is highly disturbing for anyone in their right mind to call a baby sexy. My lord...
I found this whole reincarnation relationship between them undoubtedly creepy. She even kissed him as just a child below the age of 5 and he seemed to enjoy it quite a bit as well. They should’ve just time-skipped to an appropriate age for them to develop such feelings towards one another and engage in physical contact. If that were to be the case, It would’ve been an 18 year old girl with a 36 year old man. Still much better than a 27 year old man with a literal toddler. Ehem, idk what went through the author’s mind while writing their story...
I feel like the crudeness and obsessiveness of Han Seo
With Ha Ji kind of got dragged out. He seemed to love her enough to go crazy, but would have her forcefully gang raped, beaten, killed and such not only once, but continuously throughout the whole storyline. I understand him being a twisted man, but his actions very much contradicted his desires and emotions.
His regrets left me feeling empty and bad for him, but then there he goes again... when will he change, was the ultimate question. Although I didn’t really want him to give up on Ha Ji, or more like I wanted Ha Ji to be more accepting towards his feelings for her. Definitely should’ve changed his methods of persuading at some point.
Often times, I found myself shipping Ha Ji with him. Their personalities suit each other and a romantic relationship between them would’ve been very racy and exciting, although toxic. I still can’t decide if I ship her more with Han Seo or Sin Uoo.
About him becoming an actor... Not sure if I’m the only one feeling this way, but I found his career choice to be quite disappointing. I imagined him to become some badass big underground name, but an actor? With all that gangsta potentiaal... is kinda lame.
Now about our MC, Ha Ji. Would’ve liked her kind of ‘disgusting’ personality to be toned down a bit at times. We also never really got to see her looking pretty and all dressed up. Which is quite regrettable.
She had too many flaws, but another main flaw would be her greediness/selfishness. She was consciously hurting Han Seo by choosing Sin Uoo over him, and yet wasn’t willing to let him go and was binding him down. She is the main reason for all the misfortune falling upon her. We get Han Seo being a maniac and there is no excusing that, but if you payed attention, it was hinted at her actually being aware of such affairs and yet choosing to act naive in order to deflect responsibility. I’m glad she got called out in the end at the hospital for her greediness and finally being forced to leave that maniac alone. Poor boy also regained some peace at last.

Her character and the storyline really went downhill. At first she was a badass who was also pretty skilled at fighting. Loyal to the right owner, the crown prince. But after a while her decisions became quite annoying.
You don’t bite the hand that fed you, in her case the prince literally saved her from the grim reaper itself and gave her everything she could ask for. Paying him back by carrying out this important mission to the end, would’ve been a proper pay back. The fact that she consciously kept ignoring the price and stayed with the duce really put me off.
Now besides her aggravating disloyalty to the prince, her personality downgraded really badly. She used to stand up for herself and actually defend herself not really caring about others during a fight. I mean that’s how she survived her rough childhood and training years. She then became a whimpy damsel in distress who continuously allowed others to humiliate her, never defend herself even if it meant her death, even tho she was supposed to be on a mission and report back?? Heck she never even had enough strength to fight back, highly unlike the earlier chapters. Not to mention, she’s alwaaays out cold by some sleeping pill or whatever. Inconveniently, she didn’t dare to raise her hand against anyone anymore and become strongly opposed to killing. But yet she killed all her kidnappers as just a child.
I swear her character design also changed about 10 times throughout this story. She became loyal to the Duce the moment their eyes met. How does that even make sense? He purposely put her in so many dangerous situations which always ended up with her getting hurt and yet she never minds it as if it’s the most natural thing for her to risk her life for the Duce at all times. She seemed delusional and could’ve possibly been mistaking the Duce for the crown prince?... that’s the only logical explanation. All of a sudden she’s a loyal dog to the duce without a trace of her own personally left. The Duce never really protected her. Ever only captured and imprisoned her. Which is not protection th.
Anyways, so many disappointments and dissatisfactions throughout the chapters. It started out good and I was really invested. Unfortunately this is the same pattern of gender-bender, female x male stories going downhill. They usually start out good, but then screw it up really badly. The reason for that is often how much an author tries to tone down the lead female character. Turning a badass into a damsel in distress, is never a good route. Excuse my quite lengthy rant... if you’ve stuck with me so far, thanks.

The twin plot twist was horrible. I had to skip through everything cuz of how disgusted I was by Sarang and jinwoo. I feel so bad for Woojoung, only read the scenes with him in it. I believe things could’ve worked out between the bestfriends, it needed some time and work. His twin coming into the play was just a huge turn off...

how were sarang and jinwoo the disgusting one’s ?Sarang literally went through a lot, just like his brother, only that woojoung said some really fcked up shit to him.Sarang never meant to hurt him,nor did he want that all to happen,he tried his best to get close to his twin again.Woojoung was the one acting like he was the only victim. And if you didn’t like it,just don’t read it

No, no you got a point. I HATE THEIR MOM YET NONE WAS DONE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. The pacing WAS horrible. Woojung got lost in the story. Nothing was mentioned how did woojung coped. Remember, Sarang WAS validated emotionally by his mother even if the family went into divorce. Woojung has to suffer being with a dad that could kill him if he ever acted gay. Because of such environment he didn’t get the education and love his mother can give him. His mother left him for SARANG. Ya get the gist? Sarang my not be the one at fault of his trauma but HE’S THE ROOT CAUSE AS TO WHY IT STARTED. SO YES, HE IS ALLOWED TO NOT ACCEPT SARANG’S EFORTS TO REPAIR THEIR RELATIONSHIP THAT EASILY. AND, WOOJUNG AND JINWOO WERE BESTFRIENDS. BESTFRIENDS mah dude, not some casual friends. I like smutty yaoi but this pacing is just... I mean come on. I honestly did run through the chapters without reading it twice, just skipped through it. The only thing good about it are sex scenes, and I can’t even focus that much to it because it reminded me that SARANG JUST FUCKED THE DUDE, PLAYED THE VICTIM CARD (he fucking did don’t lie with me the moment i saw him romanticize the acts of his first bf, went on and disregarded woojung’s feelings about homosexuality that woojung just decided to just go and find his own space to learn it himself, and acted AS HIS BROTHER ON THE FIRST PLAY BECAUSE HE JUST ASSUMED THAT BECAUSE HIS BROTHER UNDERSTOOD HIM HE’S IMMEDIATELY GAY) AND SUDDENLY THEY GOT A RELATIONSHIP. :)

The MC and the Gayoung girl are soo frustrating. That girl IS going to be his downfall and is annoyingly stupid. Then we have the Mc who despite knowing it’s a bad idea to get close to her or the detective, he does it anyways. This story would’ve been way more interesting if he went on a rampage and escaped to some foreign land or something, I hate the usual failure/death scenario all because they started to care about someone. With this potential, could have turned out way better, we need some heartless badass MC’s. I’m tired of these naive softies. Face palm
This is a magnificent manhwa, deserves far more hype than other webtoons such as solo reveling are getting.
The FEMALE characters are TOP TIER, far better than orv despite that one being even more adored by the female audience. This is true non gender bias in a male MC setting, my fav right behind trash of the count.
MC is very much BBG, I’m SO glad that he can be cold blooded when needed cuz I despise useless saints the most. The feelings between the characters transfer quite well, the dead fragment of his bro made me so sad. I just hope MC will hold back a bit from stressing him out sm
I don’t get the feeling that author BL baits unlike majority of popular shounen, it seems quite genuine but ofc nothing canon will happen otherwise they’ll lose market value. It’s quite kinky in some scenes ngl lol author’s such a tease
I luv peace he’s so cute n protective of him
The plot is rlly exciting n manages to get me hype
This manhwa has everything tbh it’s such a gem n so refreshing to read in a world of oversexualised female cast
gonna hate on u because of the line abt orv women
It’s the truth tho. Orv still suffers from a bit of sexualisation n BL bait. It’s not as targeted towards a female audience as yll make it seem. Author just tries to keep a decent balance between the ratio of their readers
Ermm..
um are u being fr? yk even this has like insane amt of bl bait bw the mc and the blondie
and idk what is targeted towards female audience, its targetted towards everyone regardless of gender, and there is no sexualisation in orv tf have u even read it? the female characters are op and idk why u are comparing in the first place
in the entire novel of orv, there is no romance and no sexualisation of anyone
see i agree with your point of sexualising female character in action manhwa with boobs and shit but orv is really the worst example u could had taken, because thats like the polar opposite
As I said it suffers from it a BIT especially in comparison to S-Class. They make sure the male chars are always stronger, which is fine but in terms of power even the very creator of the their world/book doesnt touch the top 3 yet her creation n reader plus sum random man do like bfr. They’re mostly dressed in super tight clothes with huge curves n both male protagonists have a woman by their side whom they’ve had some sort of romantic relationship with. So far all the female chars are someone’s woman n their male counterparts are surely stronger than them. Its not overt sexualisation n it’s still one of the best at treating their female cast but ur blind if u think it compares. In S-Class author doesn’t rlly queer bait given MC doesn’t hold romantic feelings for any woman n he in fact shows more interest in his male companions n in some cases even in a very suggestive manner. Orv could never, given their MC is supposed to be the ideal gentleman, nothing wrong with that but it’s guilty of the overused queer bait template in the media.
It is undeniable that the female cast in S class is more comfortable in that sense n if u can’t see it then it’s just down right personal bias.
omfg bfrr in orv like if u are putting up so points atleast look more into the matter
1) in tight clothes? girl thats the combat fucking fit, plus thats the webton artist own perception of the character, in the novel it was never described. plus only one woman has curves, and girl thats fucking normal?? are u saying as soon as someone has curves they are sexual? u are the one who is sexualising women me thinks
2)the mc himself never had any romantic relationship with any women in the entire orv+
there is no comparision abt who is stronger or who is not in orv, because the women in orv literally play a fundamental part
spoiler warning : if han sooyoung didnt exist the entire orv wouldnt had existed
3)omg dont even talk abt queer baiting, jesus christ the webtoon app promoting this webtoom by queer baiting is totally on them and they have faced the backlash, this novel has ENOUGH queer baiting so u cant even bring that as a topic of comparision
stop being so delusion tf
queer baiting is the last topic u should even bring into this debate because u are deluding yourself if u dont think this doesnt have its fair share of quuer bait
and orv has detailed relationship of every character with the mc, like there are literal arc belonging to every charac, orv in no way potrays the mc as ideal gentleman, he is just a normal man who just respect women and just reads shit
I like S-class novel/Webtoon more than ORV as well, albeit for different reasons than what you’ve listed)
It seems pointless to argue with a pick me. Also deciding on a target audience is like the first step of any sort of business including the writing industry. The gender of the audience is literally the first step. What are you 12? Even your choice of words is cringe, get a life
girl thats not what pick me is, pick me is literally somoene who puts down other girls for male validation tf, and just because i have a more profound vocabulary doesnt make me 12, its makes u somone who is not familiar with english, u are the one who is spouting utter bs and thinking that makes sense when in reality you are just sexualising female characters
and maybe some fucking times the target audience isnt a gender but a section of people in general who enjoy reading or who relate to the story.
personally, I agree with you. and also the characters are very likeable for me, not even orv made me like the characters that much. well maybe im quite biased bcoz i love this manhwa but seeing this comment thread it seems like this one user is also biased about orv too lol
i mean yeah u can say i am biased, but their argument of saying female characters are sexualised in orv is just plain wrong, you are free to like whatever u want, its completely valid but that statememt was just plain stupid
Glad there are other sane ppl. She probably thinks that she’s the only person out there who has read orv with the unbelievable amount lies that she’s spouting. It is not necessarily a bias to like a manhwa more because the characters are genuinely better written
the orv thing was plain wrong by op but hyunjae and yoojin isn't bl bait, they have real genuine care for each other. source: i have read the 870+ chapters of the novel this manhwa is based on. they're insane.
orv what and what ???
yeah i agree, i havent read the novel so, but like since the op bought up orv having bl bait, which it doesnt, i bought up that , thanks for understanding<3
I think op is delusional too, seems like they can't compliment something without bringing something else down. Orv women and storyline is top tier and manhwa readers have only seen the tip of the iceberg. This manhwa is a good read, why don't yall (op) stop comparing in the first place rather than complaining others are being 'biased' you start putting comparisons on another fan favorite story
Who lotta orv d riders. Ppl are gonna have their own perceptions u pick me’s are too blinded to see. Ur not changing anyone’s opinion by dismissing it
