this is definitely an unpopular opinion but this story seemed to throw a bunch of plot pieces at each other last minute to hopefully resolve the story— deux ex machina, if you will. i just don’t think the ending that the author gave this story aligns with the characters behaviors. i’ll start with yura (?) because she’s the easiest to dissect and her character is for the most part uninvolved. what is the point of painting yura as envious of eunha, wanting to tear down the walls of eunha’s picture-perfect life, but then when the truth behind the affair unraveled sungwoo was the puppet master? that doesn’t make sense? it seemed very last minute, like the author just needed to point all fingers at sungwoo to justify eunha ending with taesomething. it’s just strange, yura wanted everyone to turn on eunha, so trying to ruin eunha’s relationship with her husband is completely inline with her character.

now let’s move onto sungwoo. it was established from the beginning that sungwoo only cared for eunha’s happiness, so why would he destroy everything that made her happy? if he truly strived for her love, why would he watch from the sidelines as eunha fell in love with and married another man? sure maybe he noticed tae neglecting eunha, but then why would he try to kill her parents. the story claims that he wanted to isolate her so she would only depend on him, but that is not in sungwoo’s character. i knew that tae’s obsession with work was a problem but for sungwoo to make his manager block eunha and create a fake affair scandals with yura while plotting to kill her family was very odd, like why? like all that situations that worsen their relationship was created by sungwoo himself, even he make those problems as his motive for revenge on tae in this timeline. it’s just so bizzare, didn't he want eunha to be happy? why kill her parents? i think the author was too focused to create "surprise" while forgetting that some of it just didn't make sense. like we are surprised but not because the plot was mind-blowing but because we are back to the same old story about obsessive childhood friend that only likes the fl and want her to depend on him only. idk i think this story went to shit
