His father remarried. She doesn’t share his blood. He’s the rightful heir but he isn’t of age. So she stepped up for him because his father gave her his last name when he married her mother. She was reincarnated into her own novel so she cares for her “character” yus. They don’t see each other as siblings but they care for one another since they are all they have left. It was explained in the earlier chapters.
