Tbh when I started this I thought it would be just like 'Daughter of the emperor' and while I really like that story, I freaking love this one!!! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ
For once we get actual character development from multiple characters and the princess isn't just totally oblivious and really... well useless in a way? In that other story she makes no effort in anything contrary to Athy, and I just think Athy is so amazing and genuine!ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~ I'm so glad I found this story and I can't wait to see what happens from now on, how Claude will grow only to love her more, which guy she will end up with (I'm not rooting for anyone in particular, I'm just living for those Claude/Athy moments) the progress with her magic, and of course I hope she can become friendly with Jenette at the very least, instead of the obvious making the, cousin? Not actual sister, into an enemy (I'll seriously get annoyed if she outshines our princess though) anyway thank you so much author, I'll be here for the entire ride (≧∀≦)
Tbh daughter of the emperor started off really well, however 100 chapters into it but the character development was so slow. So I gave up. They say I was born a King's daughter started off really well too but like... All that sexist men and gender inequality really pissed me off. Also the fact that the main character was pretty much just sucking up to those men who treat her like shit. BUT THIS. This is a GEM. Beautiful art, well written plot with good pacing, and good character development that leaves you wanting more! This is one of the best reincarnation manga I have ever read. (≧∀≦)
Funny, I like Daughter of the Emperor more because it shows REALISTIC character development. While this one is pretty awesome, the pace moves too quickly for development to be taken seriously. It's a typical story in that sense. Ria isn't given enough credit for the way she knows how to use her circumstances to give herself the advantage. In her case people complain she isn't acting like a grown-up when it's her maturity that leads her to realize that she isn't living in a perfect world where everything is sunshine and rainbows as everyone seems to want her to believe. And she realizes acting like it is or trusting someone too easily could lead someone to a quick death. That in and of itself demonstrates how she is actually doing more than they think she is. Kt.
I like Ria too and it's not that I think she acts too immature, it's that aside from acting cute and oblivious it seems to me she's hardly making an effort in anything else, like studying, gaining a skill, and it doesn't really seem like she thinks too much about the future or about consequences, all in all as someone else also mentioned, how the progress of the plot has grown veryyyy slow and how I wish Ria would make more of an effort are my main issues. Regardless it's a really good story. I'm just loving this one so much <3
On the contrary, i dislike it because it takes too long. It's a story portraying the characters, and we don't need the rundown of every day in the character's life. Stories are meant to progress, have a beginning, middle and end. If we follow a realistic progress, it'll be an 80 year long manhwa. Nobody wants to read that. People want to be engaged in stories, have their imagination and emotions stimulated. If, instead, a story has more than 50 chapters with no changes apart from usual conversations, of course the people won't want to continue reading. Nobody has the patience to read the day-to-day biography of a fictional character, and one that is thick-headed and unrelatable
So now this silver haired boy has been introduced and I was just wondering if I was the only one saddened by it? ╥﹏╥
Since Asisi got introduced I've really wanted Ria to end up with him, the age gap seems irrelevant to me since she remembers her previous life and I just think they'd be so cute together! ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ (when she's older obv) (❀╹◡╹)
The boy seems nice anyway and he'll probably end up being the one for her, sigh, but a girl can still dream of her ship (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
So I was really excited and happy about the pace and development in this story, but now they go and do the amnesia take, ruining all Athy has worked for - not simply worked, she actually honestly and openly loves her father despite everything and it was one of the major things that hooked me to this story - and tbh if they are going to continue like this, with Claude just having forgotten from now on - ESPECIALLY if he's going to prefer Jenette from now on-, I think I'm dropping this, it just breaks my heart, plus it would mean that one of the main things about the story I loved would be gone
sammmmme ugh I am dropping this series for a while till more chaps r out, hopefully this amnesia bullshit arc doesnt last long(〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Please don't, that won't happen, just trust me 'kay? He's not going to prefer Jenette
I am gonna give it one shot! And I'm wishing so bad it won't go that way, but Imma wait until 5-10 chapters into the second season and if it's dragging on I'm shelving it
