To be honest, I would like it better as a sweet fluffy yuri instead of a fucking lunatic crossdressing as a girl to get closer to his crush. I love the mc, she's absolutely amazing, so of course I would want the best for her. The blond guy would be better for her emotionally, because at least he's fucking normal, unlike a certain someone. Him crossdressing as a girl will betray her trust in him since he knows she's afraid of men. She will be disgusted at how a person she trusts turns out to be a man. Once knowing that he was a man all along, it may cause her to have even more serious trust issues and make her more afraid of men. He shouldn't have cross dressed to get close to her because it means that he's betraying the trust she had in him. Like a normal person, he should try to slowly get closer to her, similar to the blond guy. They both obviously have issues, but the blond guy is far more sane and healthy for the mc. The blond guy and mc gets along pretty good, even with the mc's fear of men.
Don't say it's cute, because it really isn't. He seems to be mentally unstable, and who knows how far he'll go just to be with the mc.
