This so story Is so bland I don't find the way the storyline is progressing smooth or interesting. It predictable but not in a good ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I feel like yall are mistaking misogynistic behavior with avoidance and anti-social behavior. The Duke doesn't hate his new wife, from what we're seeing he married her based on her social standing and reputation, ie. Her family have no backing, are impoverished and don't belong to any faction. Due the the FMC being a spoiled and selfish person in the past the Duke used that as an excuse to keep her at arm length. It makes sense, no one would judge him for avoiding a difficult person. Don't get me wrong I'm not excuse the neglect his son received on account of his trauma. I did however see a comment saying the Duke most likely avoids his son because he looks like his mother who rapped him.
him saying all women are greedy is literally misogyny though? even if he was assaulted in the past causing him to hold this viewpoint that doesn’t make it any less misogynistic. its like someone with a depression using that as an excuse as to why they constantly neglect their responsibilities. their mental illness may explain their behavior and even make it understandable, but it does not justify it. a man being assaulted by a woman and holding prejudice views against all women as a result may be understandable but its not justified.
That's just a weird take for you to compare depression and being raped. I remember reading a reddit story where the girl was raped by men close to her and she was 14 and she hated all men even though she knows it's not all men. You can't just disregard their trauma just because they're a man. They are allowed to feel that way especially when he was raped and had a child of that said rape. Therapy doesn't even exist in that time and age they were trying to capture. This is someone who has a PhD in Psychology, do not put your mouth in something you don't know about.

it’s almost like you missed the part where i said it was understandable for him to think the way he does. im not arguing he shouldn’t feel that way. im saying its still an inherently misogynistic statement to say all women are greedy. i didn’t compare the trauma of being sa’d to depression, i used an analogy to make my point more clear.
