Tbh as a person who reads a lot when you see comments saying “idk what’s going on” it’s not really the readers fault. The author just may be not explaining the plot to the point where readers can read it and actually understand what’s going on. The point of a manga is to entertain your audience and if half of them are saying that they don’t understand what’s going on that’s a problem on the authors side not the readers.

The plot in this one is pretty straightforward though? It's not that difficult to keep up with, however it's true not a lot of information is being shared. I'm not sure why people are confused. If you want confusion, boy I can list a few titles.
But the other thing is (not related to this story per se) but writers write with cultural nuance and subtext also. There's just some things only a native reader would understand. I don't think that's the author's fault, it's just a writing flavour. The writer writes with an intended audience.
