I don't hate him I'm frustrated the mc is willingly hurling himself in to self destructive ideals and actions because he just absolutely refuses to accept the situation he's in fully he spent 15 chapters refusing to believe this is anything other than a dream and he's so obsessed with getting things back to the way they were that he holds no regard for the people right in front of him he hurt his crush his other friends Lucius and himself because he refuses to slow down and and actually contemplate his feelings and he's so focused on how things should be that he refuse to look at the present he's punishing himself and for what something he can't control and he has yet to figure that literally all he needs to do to fix his situation is tell the truth and move the fuck on and its precisely because he wants to wallow in his own guilt that he can't see that I'm not saying its meant to be easy nor am I saying that I don't get that he's in a tough situation but his absolute refusal to let go of things that should have died years ago and stop pushing away feelings and people is exactly why he was so miserable in the beginning and exactly why he's in the situation he's in now

I can only speculate that because he thought he made a "selfish wish" that change reality he thought that no matter what he had to get things back the way they were?
And maybe he was scared of giving in and take the chance to live with his crush and hated himself for that?
IDK but i think hate towards him is dumb and people don't try and think about what the character may feel, but frustration seems a pretty normal reaction considering what he's done ToT
Most of my frustration stems from him hurting himself and the people around him guilt is normal wanting to fix things is normal especially considering what we learn about his crushes relationship with Lucy and what happened after he fell and woke up but instead of trying to take in to account how other people are feeling especially because he's not the only one effected by it he rushes in with little to no concept of what the hell he's doing and hurts himself then gets so wrapped up in trying to be the self sacrificing martyr hero that he pushes away and hurts the people that are trying to help him and who he is meant to be helping all for the sake of punishing himself I just want to slap him and screams slow down and thing you idiot
