I will never like the male characters no matter what the artist draws them as. They are horrible people raised in an horrible environment. So yes, all the things they do for her are EARNED by her 8 year old manipulation. They never loved her for who she is. They only started liking her because she was an entertaining pet that they can play with. There's a difference.
