Here's my guess: Glen is a stalker. The teacher is too.
Glen mentioned he always knew Joseph was in his class. And the car between the trees looked different from the one of the teacher.
The teacher is just a minor stalker. Glen is going to use the teacher to frame him for his own crimes, and then be there as a comfort for Joseph to get Joseph to feel more and more safe around Glen. He's charismatic. So are a lot of crazy people.
I got this idea from one of Harada's books, and also I story I am currently writing.
I hope that Joseph fixes his life soon and he's able to tell his best friend more. They would make a better couple than Joseph and Glen. Idk, Glen gives off shady vibes to me. Maybe it's because I'm suspicious. The childhood friend(?) seems the safest person to trust rn.
