I'd say it's worth it. No harem, even if 2 of the women/girls fight over him at the very end. But even then he doesn't choose.
Outside of the "no harem" thing, I think it's worth a read. At the end it becomes a bit convoluted, but overall it's a good story.
Hella good, super emotional and the friend group is great. There is practically no romance, at least not in the sense that it gets in the way of the plot
