You tell him to just admit he likes you...and when he does you're just like...oh well idk what to say...Are you kidding???? Clearly you knew and wanted him to say it so why do you suddenly not know how to answer, huh????
I was taken a bit aback at first, but in retrospect, it makes sense. Their last encounter was 3 years ago and everything happened too fast; they slept together and Hajime found out Hana was in love with him, only for Hana to immediately disappear, only to blast back into his life in the same "whirlwind" fashion. That means that Hajime has never had the opportunity to recognize (and much the less reconcile with) his feelings for Hana, because to begin with, he wasn't even sure if he had heard/understood Hana correctly (about Hana loving him). So first Hajime needs to know for sure if Hana does indeed love him, and then needs a bit of time to absorb it all in, understand his feelings for Hana to finally accept them without any doubts. They need time with each other and Hana has to grant Hajime that time, because if you think about it, he has never given Hajime the opportunity to reciprocate for fear of being rejected. He needs to take a risk and afford Hajime some trust. From this perspective, Hajime's reaction is logical.
idk I mean he has said he's been thinking about it all this time and then talks about how much his life is affected by it that he is basically only sexually attracted to him and he...just tried to kiss him then hit him when he was hesitant? Wtf...? Like....you don't do that. People can be flirty and sexy and then say they don't wanna do anything. While it isn't really a good idea, people have the right to say no if they decide they aren't comfortable after all. He tried to kiss him and initiate something then says he doesn't know what to do....Like I can understand him not being sure if he likes him/wants a relationship since they just reconnected after a long time but...boy....you must be joking. You try to initiate something and then say you don't have an answer? He was obviously and openly flirting with him....
Got some info on the office dude from the scanalator's tumblr page if you wanna know a little bit more about him/ find out if he's sketchy or not so...heres your official spoiler warning!
He's isn't a total creep. He doesn't have any weird ulterior motives or anything. He thinks Subin is good looking/ or he has a nice face or something but he is a little turned off by his personality (lmao I mean, Subin is kind of a little shit) then I think around ch 15 Subin asks him if he actually likes him and he tells him he isn't really sure.....And one last tid bit...the translator says office dude is a 3rd wheel so....ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
I just visited the webpage of the people who translate the manhwa and just read through it a bit. At the beginning of every chapter of every scanned english manga you find, the people who translate and clean and make the chapters into english have a page that credits them and usually lists the name of their group or website. Its really helpful to go visit their pages because since this site just rips the translations off of other sites you can actually interact with the people who translate it. They often post extra stuff about the manga and talk about stuff and answer fans questions. And yes, from what somebody on the site says, it seems like the office guy is a third wheel and the main couple is insinuated to be Subin and Hyunwoo. Though, I could be wrong.
You can just google their name, their tumblr page will show up. Their name is on the credit page of every chapter. But I don't really remember anything else they said, I just read through a couple of their asks.

I just don't know how to feel. This kid is 14. There should be no relationship with this child. Also, Yuuji is his guardian. He's been almost like a dad to him. Its just...realistically, this manga is sending some weird messages but the one its sending me the most is that Yuuji doesn't know how to put his foot down. He is the adult and guardian. He doesn't have to bend to Hayato's will, he should be telling him whats up. If there is info he is in charge of as the guardian, he doesn't have to share that. He's still the guardian here and in charge in that sense. He is being super irresponsible and I know Hayato sees him romantically, but like...I just feel like it would be hard to feel that way after Yuuji went from coming and going as his uncle, to being his live in full-time guardian. I think the reason his feelings have persisted romantically because Yuuji never drew that distinction clearly enough by just being the boss. I don't know...I just think the stuff going on here is so much more complicated than the story is making it out to be. I don't see how this can be a love story... I mean, I wouldn't hate it if there was no romantic relationship before 18 but...I just think the situation isn't being handled well. I know they aren't related by blood but they've been everything family is to one another for their whole lives. Hayato has so much growing up to do, I don't know if I will be satisfied if he writes off all the experiences he should be having to help him grow as a person during these next few important years of his life.
I know Im getting a little to real but... I don't know. Its just such a complicated situation.
He was like 13 when Hayato was a toddler. He's the head of house, but not a father figure. More appropriate to call him an older brother. Yes, 13 is too young, but Hideyoshico has already aged Hayato to 14. I don't see them jumping into bed anytime soon. This romance is showing a solid steadfast love in an improbable scenario. It's fantasy....fiction. Of course no 13 or 14 yr old is that driven or committed in reality, it would be creepy, and deluded.
I know she's isn't going to have it jump into a sexual relationship, but Im still concerned about a romantic one. Kids need to be around other kids to develop and learn societal skills properly. Being romantically involved with an adult, especially that much older and when you're so young, can be really stunting emotionally and mentally. How I thought and processed the world around me, the things I thought I knew, the way I lived, all at 14 is so incredibly different to me now and even just since entering college. I can't imagine how confusing and how much it would have determined and changed who I am now if I had been trying to have a romantic relationship with somebody about 10 years older than me. I just don't think it would work or be good for either people. I feel like the author won't really have them romantically involved anytime soon.... but them being around each other with this tension while Hayato is trying to grow up and is going through so much development and his brain is still forming and changing so much during this time...it just seems like a really bad situation. Hayato has so many other things he should be focusing on in his life right now other than getting this old man to like him and trying to grow up fast...Its kind of like your childhood is taken from you when you're romantically and sexually involved with adults while you're young, which is why its illegal. I know I'm probably being to realistic, but in the real world..this would need to really be addressed. Hayato has to live and be around this guy everyday so its hard to get space from the situation or move on...its just not a good situation... I mean, its not like they can live separately and Yuuji needs to help take care of Hayato and the little sister. I'm being ridiculous but this manga gets my mind racing! (/TДT)/
I agree. I have no problem if Hayato's love is onesided, and Yuuji acts as a proper guardian.. and then maybe once he's a legal adult something starts blossoming. That might be okay. But the way things are going, it doesn't seem realistic at all and has the potential to be pretty damaging to both parties involved... If Yuuji starts developing romantic feelings I am so done with this, cause that's crossing a lot of lines...
I'm curious to see how the author handles all of this. Its just kind of conflicting for me because looking at them bonding while Hayato was even younger, it was really sweet and I loved the platonic love there and their relationship dynamic of a person taking care of and loving the child of the person they loved, even though it was never reciprocated and they had a kid with somebody else, like their own. That to me is really sweet...I wanna read a sweet story like that...
I completely agree with you. I really don't want the uncle and the kid of end up in any sort of romantic relationship together. It feels off. I agree with the uncle not being able to put his foot down. I'm hoping that this manga turns out to be a mature lesson kind of story, and they focus on the reality of the situation and the kid matures and they both are able to sort it out and move on.
On the other hand I'm definitely shipping the brother and the friend 100%
Lol he won't "buy" a woman because he has a crush...no other reason? Like...it being illegal, you being an ex cop, it being...not cool....
yeah but I know he's playing, it seemed more like they were flirting but, still lol
your comment made me laugh a bit xD he's a yakuza, which means he does illegal business, and often yakuza groups are having their brothels. which means they earn from prostitution.
i don't think prostitution is illegal in japan
but he's our doumeki, he doesn't need anyone besides yashiro :D
I mean yeah he's yakuza now but he used to be a cop. Also, he literally went impotent over the fact of his sister being rape and the sex with women in brothels...isn't really consensual since they're being coerced... I mean, it just seems like his character would be somebody who isn't really into that kind of thing since his dick went limp over it lol
But I get its just supposed to be a silly side comment, I just found it ironic
Im actually so happy the adult in the manga is taking this seriously and thinking "wow, thats child abuse and super wrong" instead of, oh goody guess that means I can fuck him
Well, he's going to fuck that child anyways ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
But I do agree with you.
Out of love though XD that makes it way more acceptable, imo
