Well I never really bring this topic in omegas story, because it just doesn't make sense to compare two phenomenons (reality and fiction) who have few things in common. If there wasn't the heat involved then yeah it would be definitely considered rape, but would this situation still happen if it wasn't for the heat? I mean I am sure that what I am going to say will sound morally wrong but still, omegas/alphas are different than real humans. Humans don't go in heat, females/ males don't go in heat or ruts so rape shall never be justified. In this fictional society they do, so even if it sounds bad the rape in this situation is more like an accident then a criminal act. It's like both the alphas and omegas are the victim. The omega should have remembered to take the medicines, because the pheromones have the power to attracts alpha and in a way make them lose the power to act and think consciously. The alpha is at fault in a way because the omega couldn't give consent to the act, but if you think about it neither could the alpha.

I liked the story and the other characters except for the mc. I only kept reading for them. It did end abruptly in my opinion. Pretty anticlimactic.
The mc was annoying as fuck!! I stopped reading her inner monologue by the second chapter. It was so irritating and brought down the story. She herself brought the story down even without her inner thoughts. She pretty much ruined what would have otherwise been a story I could like wholeheartedly.
So many declarations of not running way were so worthless. Running away every time they kissed was even worse. She's also so selfish, never thinking about her bf feelings. She is easily manipulated. Running away when she wants to talk to him just because people are around him like she would be intruding. All so dumb. The ml has terrible taste in girls.
I really liked the ml and kou. She didn't deserve either but I also didn't want her to be with one over the other. I was into the idea of a throuple. I also wasn't into pairing him with the best friend. It was forced and annoying to me. I really did like kous passion. I felt he expressed more feelings in liking her than the ml and might have been more genuine in my opinion.
The part of the story where her best friends get a sad and lonely was terrible. Kou and the best friend were dicks and blamed all the hurt feelings on the ml and mc as if they were terrible people for dating. How dare the mc get a boyfriend and grow that relationship and how dare the ml for coming into the picture. The best friend was in the wrong all the way. She not only ignored the text but deleted them. That was actually hateful to the extreme. Then her speech, good god. So wrong.
Then there is the arc with the psycho girl. I really couldn't stand this arc just because of how the mc reacted to the whole situation.
She once again acted selfish, didn't think of her bf feelings or let him talk about it and say his side of things but put that girl first before him, and then made it her fault that girl was trying to break them up.
So many interruptions of people when they began to talk or finally kiss. That is one of my biggest irritations in these stories. Not only being interrupted but they never try again as if it's too hard to say their simple sentence after being interrupted or finish the kids. So damn irritating.
I also would have liked more of a physical development. I wasn't expect anything extreme but some heavier kissing would have been nice. A fade to black, even though it's an innocent story, it would have even been acceptable I think. Just knowing they did it would have satisfied me. There should have been an engagement or marriage for them. I felt let down that they hadn't progressed.
So many love rivals and with her being a crybaby and so insecure made it so much worse (I do get that some people struggle with being introverted so I'm not hating on people like that as if they can't help it). I was glad that the girl from the prep school at the end didn't become a plot development. It was just overkill with the rivals. The conversation they had after running into the prep school friends was irritating too. She was so close to telling him what that girl did then he dismissed it before she could fully express her feelings. I think that was rude. Those were her feelings and him defending that other girl I found to be insensitive.
I also feel there should have been more love rivals after her. Not because I like her, I hated her the whole manga, but because I like the ml and wanted more reactions from him. Kou was a breath of fresh air in my opinion. It just seemed imbalanced to me. with there being one rival right after another without a break. Good god.
Well, I guess I didn't like story as much as I thought if I have this much to complain about. Oh well. I only watched it because I came across the anime and thought it would be cute. Should have known better.

I read the reviews saying it was based on a true story and people liked it because of that. I find it pretty sad that two people did this to each other in real life.
The leaving for a year part was pretty shitty. He made it clear the uke was the one he loved, went as far as to tell his sister, made it clear he would reject the marriage, and that he would convince his family of his same sex relationship. He promised he was coming back.
What actually happened was that he didn't reject the marriage at all. He even went as far as to live with her seriously to try out if they would fit or not. He contacted the uke for a while but stopped after not getting a response. That's a pretty shitty way to treat the person you say you love and are coming back to.
If it had worked out with the woman, he was going to leave the uke. He was going against his promises and making all his confessions of love empty. Coming back after he did all that, I find that to be crap.
I'm reading this to escape reality not for any realism. They also built up the sexual frustration and didn't deliver. Disappointing. To each their own.

The situation there wasn't shown too, maybe their parents are just so forceful so they need a concrete proof that they won't work out. And I kind of imagine that since almost every parents want they child to marry quick and hold their grandchild (and that comes from my experience too lol). It's hard to refuse your parents will without saying the exact reason, especially he wasn't exactly good at words and couldn't lie either. About him stopped contacting him, well, it's only been a month while he kept trying for the rest of the year. It's not a short time, and maybe at that point he started thinking that he was bothering Akira so he stopped, and decided to just come back. It took so long just to convince them to let go of the marriage, and maybe he was worried since Akira went MIA so he went back as soon as possible without having the chance to convince their parents. He just made them disappointed with the failed marriage proposal, maybe he didn't have the heart to break the news so suddenly right after that. At least that's my opinion though, I just want to give you another point of view. Sorry it's so long
