That's a premonition dream, I'm telling you!
Damn man, took you a while. If you don't mind hanging out with the guy who thought you liked him and kissed you multiple times, MAYBE you're not as straight as you thought.
"We use gay for everything now" bisexual erasure is super common in manga and manhwa, there's always talk about "but you're straight" if the guy happens to like women. Been reading BL for years and I remember like 10 where bisexuality was ever mentioned.
That being said, I still loved this. From the guy who said "ew, gays are gross, wish they'd write it on their foreheads so I know to keep distance" to "I'm gayer than you are" and not just "yeah, I love women but you're an exception." He didn't mind his friend finding out he's dating another man (didn't even try to deny it!), he's thinking about Garam meeting his family, he's thinking of making money by himself so they can still be together...this manhwa is offering WAY more than other BL these days and it's the one I expected the least!
Jaeyeon is an asshole but he didn't actually do anything this time, Haneul legit tripped can we just focus on the rest? First time I read this I found it so funny how they were all swimming with clothes on
I missed these two failing at having one single braincell between each other
This was one of my favourite chapters reading the raws already because this manhwa is distancing itself more and more from typical BL. The fact that Jaehyuk is already thinking about his partner meeting his family and trying to change just so Garam doesn't get hurt is something I always want but barely read in BL, at least in those where one or both of the characters believed they were fully straight. It's not just them getting together and fucking and pretending that's the "happily ever after", like, I WANT to see family and friends reacting and accepting.
Can we stop fixing on Yaejeon and appreciate how Haneul tried - and failed - to picture Seula in a "beautiful things I saw today" way, just to get a fully Ultra-HD mind image of a very handsome Dajeong? Denial is a river in Egypt yadda yadda
Dajeong with his face on the cat cause that's the only pussy he'll ever get
First time I read this chapter I was so happy he started to think about what would happen if Garam met his family, also, spoiler: it definitely won't be the last.
For the person who commented about him not worrying about his financial situation: he will eventually start looking for ways to take care of it.
He won't do anything wrong, he'll just piss Haneul off, Song Nana too lol but I bet that's just the enemies to lovers trope (nothing happened yet in the raws though).
Dajeong's cousins (another one is introduced briefly) just love him a lot and are sort of protective of him. The more the series advances the sweeter he gets.
Ooooh this looks super cute, and he might not be a trans girl but the fact that Iguchi considered it won me over
I'll let this marinate for a month or two because these two gay idiots not realising they're gay is going to drive me insane fr
Manga and manhwa like this one are so hard to find these days. I feel like most of what I see on this site are not even scanlations anymore, just official releases, and for some reason, things that are picked for official English translation are super dramatic, have multimillionaire characters, involve the mafia, have some isekai or historical elements, the relationship is extremely toxic, involves celebrities, etc.
I just want my cute, "boring" romances. Can't we please have more? Love me some university students or working adults who suddenly realise they're very gay for each other in a normal, human setting, please at this point I'm willing to finish my Korean courses and even start Japanese because I'M BORED, and I don't even read as much manga as I used to, yet I still feel I can't find as much quality as I used to.
In the beginning, I was a little sympathetic towards Kwon Sehan. He was just a child who had a terribly homophobic mother who would've probably sent him to conversion therapy if he didn't wriggle out of the situation he and Garam were in.
However, after he ghosted him and started dating a girl IN FRONT of him, and after reading the latest raws... he's a vile piece of shit. There are people who are truly rotten, like you meet them after ten years and they just got worse, when you didn't even think that was possible.
"He fucked up and that's why Garam didn't trust me for so long"
That's half the issue, little bro. We all hated you in the first season and half of the second
He's so good now, but the transformation was a full 180°. I've been reading BL for 15 years and early Jaehyuk is one of my most hated characters from a comedy/non-angsty BL.
I was skipping this because I was tired of dad tropes but I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
They're both lovable and totally crazy for each other (in the healthiest way), they're healing from their trauma and they both comfort each other, they're awesome fathers, and I cried at least three times reading this. My grandpa has dementia and the granny chapter made me weep, he still remembers me and my brother but barely.
Idg people who say you read less romance when you're in love. I crave it even more because I love reading how other people love each other y'know? I'm like "I want this for me and my boyfriend" agddjsbs I'm so gay
Am I the only one who actually loved this whole misunderstanding and breakup plotline?? I was actually getting bored of their lovey dovey scenes being shown all the time but seeing this angsty arc AND ALSO IT BEING WRITTEN SO WELL I loved it honestly
