Zhishu's last words prove to me that even though he might have really liked (and even loved) Doctor Ai, his love for Jiang was still so deep. And that hurts so much considering everything Jiang did. Doctor Ai doesn't deserve that either since he's just been a patient sweetheart to Zhishu all along and to know Zhishu was thinking about someone else during his last moments must hurt so bad. Of course it's not Zhishu's fault either, he's the one most hurt by the situation and he can't control what his heart feels. He's loyal and caring and he loves so deeply and it's heart-breaking that he's still hung up over someone that hurt him so bad. I'm not going to say Jiang didn't deserve all the suffering he went through, but I do kind of wish he and Zhishu met just once after he found out about Zhishu's illness and got some type of closure face to face. Man this is just difficult

Just finished reading this on tappytoons. Beautiful story indeed. They both suffered so much throughout the story and in their own lives that the payoff for a happy ending is so great it makes me cry the way this story showed the development of true love between two unlikely characters in the midst of adversity. This is a masterpiece and is honestly now one of my favorite manhwas ever.
