cannibalgirl's Manga

the story follows Dillon, a girl who transmigrates into a novel as a villainess whose younger sister marries the ML, Cedric, and dies in childbirth before the main story takes place. Determined not to let her younger sister get married to the ML and therefore prevent her death, she does everything she can to thwart his proposals until he ends actually up proposing to Dillon. Not wanting to steal him from the real FL, who is meant to appear a year later, she tells the ML that she will never fall in love with him and that if they both don't love each other in a years time, they should divorce. Of course, this gets complicated when they do actually end up falling in love with each other.

I really enjoyed how her being a villainess played such a small role in the story. I'm so sad this didn't have any special episodes after finishing :( this had such a refreshing dynamic between the main couple. their dialogue felt very natural and the progression of their romance had me rooting for them. the mc had a real personality and wasn't some damsel in distress who is fainting all the time. the art was already cute in beginning but kept getting better as you keep reading. my only complaint is that I wish it was longer! all of the characters are so lovable and it's hard not to root for them. very very happy I read this. i'll probably be rereading it

I'm glad I suffered through this. This was probably one of the most boring, most contrived plots I've ever read and only got interesting (for me, at least) when I reached chapter 64. I think this manhwa did many things right (and very well, at that), but the beginning of the story really did not help. The creator did a lot of telling vs showing which took away from the immersiveness. That being said, it really did get good those last 40 chapters! The mermaid chapter with Lennon was probably one of my favorites.
