The Tyrant’s Guardian is an Evil Witch
titi is definitely more handsome once he's older. erm. this manhwa is OK. first time I cried over a butler character though. this manhwa did many things well, like characterization and it's very reliable with every detail it brings up. i think the impending drama is interesting, but ... this is going to sound horrible, but I feel like the art style doesn't suit the story. in the very beginning yes absolutely, but now ... it just doesn't feel right. but it's not a bad story by any means. mc reincarnates into an evil witch from a book she read FOUR HUNDRED YEARS before the story begins. so she bides her time until the book starts, which is when she has to take care of the ML has a child because he's an illegitimate heir and there's a blood pact and blah blah blah. but of course the boy, tita, falls in love with her, because she decides to go against the plot and raise him with affection. oh dear!
The Princess Pretends to Be Crazy
Omg. OMG. Mc, Lisbelle, is one of the ten children of the king. one day, he declares one child will take the throne, and it will be the one who survives the rest. in her first life, mc is killed by her siblings who are all murdering each other to be the last one standing. she goes back in time and decides she's going to pretend to be crazy so her siblings don't see her as a threat and therefore won't kill her. and she pretends for YEARS. this becomes truly dangerous for her once only three children are left, including her. in a confrontation with one of her brothers, her magical powers activate and she disappears. the most powerful mage comes across her body in the street and kind of. kidnaps her. BUT IT'S ROMANTIC. he helps her with her problem in return for her helping him with his revenge, which her powers are the solution for. despite this using relationship, they fall in love with each other, but it's. So. Difficult. GAH. but this is so well written and the art is beautiful pls read i can't wait for the next chapter
Second Life of a Trash Princess
Oh. Em. Gee. THIS IS SO GOOD. the art is stunning and the plot is good. mc goes back in time after her death due to a rebellion, and decides she needs to fix her family's situation (particularly her brother) before the kingdom goes to ruins. in order to do this, she needs to cut off her engagement and set up a contractual relationship with the other son of the OTHER duke family. great revenge plot, every subplot introduced has its moments and relevance. the handsome guy is just as handsome as everyone is saying he is but the mc herself is absolutely gorgeous... there were so many times when binging this I stopped just to admire a panel with her in it. this is so easy to read in one sitting and it upset me to have caught up ... Ugh. Very good story
The Tyrant's Only Perfumer
i have very mixed feelings so bear with me this is going to be long. the art is pretty, but I have a lot of issues with the plot and it's progression. one of the main things that makes this manhwa unique is the mcs skill in making perfumes. I think it's really interesting and I do enjoy reading about it; it's like if food wars was an isekai manhwa but with perfumes. however, I find the characters very dull. mc reincarnates into a villainess from a book, of course, but it's... weird? one of the staples of "villainess turned good" manhwa is all the other characters remarking how the villainess has changed, maybe they should give her a chance, wow, she's so different now! but there's very little of that. like astoundingly very little. none of her villainess past comes to haunt her and i just find that boring. the antagonists aren't very convincing either. it's a very boring "main character always wins" trope, and the story introduces random (and implied "deeper") subplots that never get fleshed out again. it's also very difficult to imagine the mc being a villainess, and I don't mean that personality wise. regarding her appearance, even when drawn as "evil", she doesn't look it at all. it's obvious the artist intended for her to look pure and innocent or whatever but it's like ... why??? while binging this there were times I was wondering how much longer until I was caught up so I could just stop reading. the romance between her and the duke feels more and more plastic as time goes on, only really catching my interest in the beginning. i much prefer the prince as a character because he has a personality that can actually be described besides "cold and traumatized". i love it when women run their own businesses in stories, especially isekai manhwas, and I admire how the mc tries to do things herself as often as she can. as a character, though, she's very plain and typical. pretty, kind, determined. what's new. will I keep reading? yes. should you read this? considering you read this entire thing, I think you should check it out just to see if it captures your interest. it started a little slow imo but i actually became more interested in these recent chapters (60+... haha...)
