I loved how the novel did it and i know its not gonna happen but i kinda want killian to join judity and tell everybody that since he is her husband he is her family and they will have to kill him too. I think it would be a cool scene

Nah tbh. I think because of the long hiatus, the flow of the story felt a little off. We all know the empress hated the Bam family for no reason and knew it was related to the emperor. They did foreshadow that the emperor cheated and the empress' anger was misplaced
They said in earlier chapters that everyone thought she hated the Bam family because the MC's dad wasn't there to protect the emperor when he died, which implied that the empress cared about the emperor. Clearly that was NOT the case, and they obviously had a very bad relationship and everyone knew it, so why did anyone ever think that was the reason why the empress hated the Bam family? It doesn't make sense.
Like many others, I'm disappointed by how much they cut from the novel. They didn't show her getting beaten while captured, and they even cut out the scene where she convinces the guards to let her go. And now she's walking around with no injuries? I was looking forward to the face reveal scene, it's one of the best parts...
