Any bl stories where one of them helps the other get a job? Or a story where one of them picks the other up and starts living with them or raising them?

Hi can anyone recommend me stories about food or cooking in general. It doesn’t matter what type it is as long as there’s cooking in it. Thanks!!

Hey are there any stories you guys can link me or recommend to me with children in them? Like adoption or just kids in general. It doesn’t matter if it’s BL, GL or Straight. Although I don’t really like Chinese manhuas so pls don’t recommend me any that are Chinese.

Are there any lists where the top shoves their fingers into the bottom’s mouth. It’s like a hand/finger/mouth play/fetish? If there are pls do link them

Honestly idk if anybody will see this but I’m just here to explain it.

BL is the official name of the category. BL are works that feature the love between boys whether smut or fluff. Smut means stories with sex scenes and fluff means stories without sex scenes or implied sex scenes. The works can be straight up smut or a long story with an intricate plot; they’re all considered BL.

Here’s the part where most people get confused.

Yaoi and Shounen Ai are outdated terms. Yaoi was originally a term used in Japan to categorize doujinshi. They were basically stories that weren’t original and only contained smut. The meaning behind Yaoi is Yama nashi, ochi nashi, imi nashi (ヤマなし、オチなし、意味なし?) "No climax, no point, no meaning".

Many mangakas didn’t like that and how the word described their works. BL mangakas like to refer to their works as BL.

Shounen Ai literally translates to “loving young boys” and is often viewed as a bad word in Japan. Yes on this website it means stories without smut but in reality the word itself refers to pedophilia. Some might be confused because Shotcan is also pedophilia. But both terms are considered just as bad in Japan.

I’m sure that most people want their BL works to be referred to as BL. It doesn’t matter if there’s smut or not. You can just refer it to a smutty BL or a fluffy BL.

This is pretty common in Japan. However because the west has westernized the terms so much, ppl get confused. Westerners took the terms and did whatever they wanted with it and now that it’s been popularized, many people don’t understand that the words are actually very outdated.

So if you’ve read this far, congrats! You learned something new today :)

THIS! THIS! THIS IS WHAT I BEEN TRYING TO TELL PEOPLE-

    HISHO! November 2, 2020 12:30 pm

    I initially thought

    YAOI = bl with smut
SHOUNEN AI = bl no smut

So the uke is a country boy who moved to the city to enroll in college. He suddenly gets all tanned, buys a lot of jewelry and flashy clothes but he just wants friends. He starts sucking dick from old men for money and the seme is a skinny blond boy with glasses. I think it had two chapters. I’ve been looking all morning but I still couldn’t find it!! Please helppp if you know what it is. It had a Japanese title so I don’t remember.

So I finished banana fish today and I don’t have anywhere else to rant so I’m going to do it here. Honestly when I first heard about it, I was like “y’all are so dramatic, it can not be that sad”

But I was wrong. Especially episode nine. It literally broke my heart. I don’t know if it’s just me but I got really attached to the characters and cried my ass off when I finally finished it which was today. Even now, I still feel sad and empty. I love this anime so much and I’m devastated that there will never be a happy ending where everyone is still alive.

I think what drew me to Banana fish is the fact that stories like these exist in real life and that there’s many people who never experience their happy ending just like Ash and Eiji and the other characters. And there’s probably an “Ash” or “Eiji” out in the real world too.

I’m just so pained by the fact that if Ash had been greedier and gone to a hospital instead of bleeding himself out, then we would’ve received a happy ending. My heart aches so badly and I’m sorry if I sound dramatic.

Banana fish will be one of my favorites even though it’s so bittersweet.

ah yes, Banana Fish was my first ever anime that I ever watched and it made me fall in love with it. It was a very emotional rollercoaster and I was very sad with Ash T^T
You don't sound dramatic at all because it is the truth <3
It is my all-time favorite and I can never bring myself to rewatch it yet- ╥﹏╥
