To call it romance is not so accurate. They had a love match but so far, they're playing it off as a passing thing. It's not really taken seriously that it becomes cringey. They just accept it and it's more comedic from there.
But if you really can't take that, oh well. Plus, some people dropped it coz it's hella silly and funny.
