idk if this’ll make any sense but I have a theory that the blue eyed one put something on the mc when he was younger which carried into his adulthood that made others view him as weird and gloomy, as a way to isolate him from everyone so he can be all alone, making it easier for the blue eyed one to have him all to himself. because if you guys noticed it, despite the mc being a generally good looking guy, no one could get past the seemingly weird aura he displayed, which is why he didn’t have many friends. this is also the vibe the blue eyed one gave off to the friend before he changed his appearance for everyone else and not just the mc. i think it’s too much of a coincidence because how does everyone all of a sudden notice the mc and see that he’s actually pretty cute when they all avoided him before?
oh you guys think what’s to come is going to be bad? just wait until you guys see the season finale, that shit takes the cake.
EDIT: EXCUSE ME WHO DOWNVOTED I JUST SPOKE THE TRUTH
I mentioned it in a previous comment but they end up doing it but it’s very forced. Ml didn’t take time to prepare him and basically just shoved it in. Inseop/Peter kept telling him to wait, stop, and that it hurt, but he just kept going. I think he was trying to get a confession out of him and he did. But yea, ml just does whatever he wants whenever he wants.
To put it plainly, Peter was raped. I read the translation of the novel and the raws seemed like they were closely following the source material. In the novel, Peter was forced and assaulted. Peter said “No” multiple times and the novel made it clear that Peter did not want what happened to him. Honestly, it’s not the first time he was assaulted (previous chapters he was forced to give oral). I personally feel like the story went quite a disappointing turn.
I don’t know, though it was a very brutal encounter (and I was yelling at Philip to at least spit on the damn thing), Peter consented multiple times.
I just reread this scene in the novel:
Wooyeon plans on going out with a woman, Inseop is upset and Philip catches him crying. Wooyeon asks him if he’s crying because he’s going to sleep with someone else and that if he doesn’t like it, he’ll sleep with him instead- Inseop says no, no. So Wooyeon goes to turn around to leave again, and Inseop grabs his clothes, crying. Wooyeon says something like “Oh, you don’t want me to fuck anyone else, but you won’t let me fuck you either? Why can’t I sleep with you?” Inseop answers that he knows he “doesn’t want to sleep with me, you don’t like men!” Wooyeon: “oh so if I want to fuck you, I can?” *he shows Inseop he’s getting hard/Inseop is shooketh* “Look, I want to, so I can I fuck you?!” Inseop nods his head. Even during the deed, when Inseop is yelling “No, stop”, Wooyeon stops and says something like “Do you really want me to stop? I’m not going to rape a man.” And Inseop shakes his head. Throughout, the whole time Inseop is thinking how happy and amazed he is that Philip wants him.
Like I said, it’s brutal and Inseop is definitely being dominated by Wooyeon but it’s not rape. (He consented, and he’s not threatened or coerced.)
I haven’t read the novel yet so I can’t speak for it but as for the manhwa, INITIALLY speaking, inseop did not agree to have sex with him to my knowledge. Inseop was literally telling him no and that it HURT, he kept telling him to wait and he didn’t, he was even crying too. Even if he did !eventually! consent, it was more of him being forced into submission, which still isn’t considered consent. This scene did not portray consent correctly either if he did actually agree to it. It felt and looked like rape. He was unbelievably rough and did not take the time to prepare him for it, there was no lube used either which would have helped even a little. I’m honestly surprised he didn’t tear or bleed. On top of that, I’m pretty sure he was holding him down too.
It’s definitely brutal. For me, coerced or forced consent is not true consent. Maybe it’s different translations that we read, but in the one I read, Peter was forced into submission through blackmail. He has mixed feelings of surprise that Wooyeon was even remotely sexually attracted to him due to his low self-esteem and Wooyeons track record for being only attracted to women. However, from what I read, Peter expressed multiple times that he was not interested. He said “No! No… I don’t want to.” And “I wish he would just leave me alone”. It wasn’t until Wooyeon reminded him of the blackmail he had on him and the fact that he needs to “convince Wooyeon that Peter likes him” and the consequences that Peter shuts up and doesn’t fight back. To me, that feels a lot like coerced and forced submission and not remotely close to enthusiastic consent. But I totally get where you’re coming from. I feel like with translations there can be a lot of different interpretations. Also, caveat, I am not Korean so maybe we are missing some nuances from the original text.
this is SO good that it easily became one of my favorites and the art is just !;&:@#%{^, it’s so pretty that I’m dumbfounded.
and why was the part when masafumi thought kei was disgusted by him so fucking sad? i could feel the anxiety from him as if i WERE HIM. the emotion felt too real for me that i had to pause and collect myself lol.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you’re contemplating on reading it and the chapters are very lengthy, so a WIN IS A WIN.
