When we saw the coyote bite, my first reaction was, "Rabies shot." Glad they brought that up but man, that's a brutal shot. And he's got to get them for months. They just came out with pills for it so fingers crossed the shot might fall out of style.

Also, I have only seen darkrooms in movies. By the time I had enough allowance to even save up, we were already going to digital. If I was their age and in that time when photos were a big deal, I would have had no idea what it was.

I feel bad for the king. He did it to save someone else and it seems the old king wasn't a good person. This is the type of man who doesn't want to see a woman succeed. He'll let any blueblood woman better her family name aka the man she's attached to but anyone else is just an NPC. If my dad ever said any crap like this when I was growing up or even up until now, he would be buried in the backyard (unlikely, since I was the first granddaughter on his side so he liked to brag to his brothers that it took a real man to "make indoor plumbing." I started reading yesterday. Since I got their height back in chapter 14, it has been bugging the hell out of me how off the proportions are. Yeah, it seems odd when Chase calls Josh short until we get height confirmation for the security team. But then, it all start falling apart. It's not just "camera angles;" even side by side shots, they barely make Josh short.

He's 165cm and I'm 162.5 so it clicked into my head that he is barely taller than me. I'm the average height for a female, which should put him close to the same height as Laura and Becky (Chase's current costar whom I think illustrates what the actual height difference between him and Josh should look like.) I can barely see over the heads of my friends two inches shorter than me, which roughly equals 5cm.

The rest of the security team is 25-29cm taller than him. He should at least be level with Isaac's chin (who is another person not drawn in proportion either, followed by their boss who yes, is a beta, but he's supposed to be the same height as Henry.) And if Chase is calling him short, he should be higher than the barely-over-his-head difference we see between them. The only person in proportion so far has been Chase's brother Alex, who has to crane down even to leer over him.

So my brain keeps thinking of Josh as a scrappy "Irish" guy and it just clashes with the rest of the cast. Even his sister. At his shoulders in heels? She's tiny and Pete should be closer to her hip.

I won't stop reading but I guess I'm saying that my brain is glitching out.

I actually feel really bad for Del. He would be a kind king if he had to take the throne but he clearly doesn't want to. He imprinted like a chick on his older brother and seems like he would do whatever he would ask of him.

But then, you have his mother, who is hell bent on making him king. I'm not saying Lev would kill him like the empress believed, just that she's manifest destinying that crap. Lev is simple: leave him be with his love. He only wants power to protect her.

For a woman who is supposed to be so knowledgeable, you are dumb as a brick to be asking another woman to be miserable for the rest of her life just to make one pr*ck happy enough to say sweet nothings into your ear. Wake the f*ck up. Drop Daniel like a used tissue and never look back. And stop bothering our MC about matters that no longer concern her.
