I love this story alot , its cute. The ML is a cat boy(which you don't see often) FL has a loving family with no tsundere (which you also don't see often) but my one and only issue with this Manhwa. . . was the later chapters translations.
I get that the translator doesn't speak Japanese, but I swear the last few chapters were like reading gibberish. Σ( ̄□ ̄||)
In the end, Whats his face finds Giselle. But it was stated before, they love only ONE person. Their whole life.
You may not have noticed it, but he's only killed people who he deemed rivals in love, or who upset Nathan. He's was doing it out of love.
So I think that ending was less him finding her and coming to kill her, but more finding his love after 11 years. Holding the hand of a child that looks just like him. And that smile on his face.
Keep in mind he had blood all over his lips, meaning that he had recently ate. Not to mention that the smile he wore, is the same one he wore in earlier chapters when being yandere for Lady Nathan.
So something tells me the ending was more like a Yandere "Found You~" type ending. Which idkkkk kinda turns me on, lul.
Fr I was hoping for an extension where he's a polite young distinguished man who just waltzes into town one day and he's so charismatic and nice to everyone women, men and children while Giselle plots quietly because she can't say anything when everyone likes him and she'd sound insane. Then he ends up manipulating her friends and companions into giving him a chance because they're pretending not to know each other. Plus Isaac trying to sneak in a family unit with the vampire kid acting like he's the father (because they look alike and share traits) and Giselle the mother because how could she disappoint a child like that.
So, when was it illegal to summon your own blessed maiden? That's how ALL the sorcerers did it in the story so far hell. Back in the first ten chapters the girls in the cages said things like "yeah, the sorcerer who summoned me" and "I want to go back to my sorcerer. ALSO that other male blessed maiden was also summoned by his sorcerer.
And mono was summoned by the doctor. If anything, that stupid guard should be the one in jail, fucking buying a child off the black market.. And changing her name, and abusing her with magic.. To the point she wanted to kill herself with a shard of glass..
(also .. Another thought. Blessed maidens give their magic too the sorcerer through sexual acts. Momo Is 15- is it implied, that since momo is the docs blessed maiden.. That the dock y'know... Just a weird subplot I've been thinking about.)
Okay thank you . I was SUPER confused and abit worried. Cause again, its stated multiple times that momo is 15.
So if doc was doing it how MC and the dude were, I was about to be very concerned-
Thanks for clearing that part up. Tho I still think its fucking weird for a grown ass adult to touch and hold hands with a 15 year old.. But eh.. As long as it isn't sexual.
So, i get that what the male lead did was bad, and that what the mc goes through is a horrible experience, but at the same time I also know that our MC ISN'T the same woman as the wife the male lead had.
Keep in mind, that the MC is a woman who wanted to see her siblings again, no matter the cost. and we also see that the Male lead didn't know how to comfort her, he genuinely believed that bringing those children would fill her void, which is sweet and well written.
think of it like this,
A man who was neglected and abused, who didn't know how to communicate or feel or even anything else, his only two sources of understanding being his two bestfriends. and when his wife's child dies, He doesn't know how to react to that, he knows he should be sad, and he is. but he doesn't know how to comfort her, he was never taught how to. so in an attempt at comfort, he brought his bestfriend's children to her, she was crying because she lost her children and these children were technically hers- because she's the wife of their godfather, maybe if she had These children, it could help her with the grief.
but that's not what happened, in heightened grief, she snapped and it made the situation worse. but what i don't think many people understand, is that he wasn't being malicious. it was literally stated in the time when we switched to his POV that he genuinely thought he was doing a good thing, the right thing to help his wife.
--
Seperately, the MC is doing what she does for her siblings, loving those children with all her heart, well falling in love with a man who genuinely cares, but just doesn't understand how to express those words.
--
In short, the ML isn't a bad person, he isn't cold hearted and the story is well written. the male lead isn't a bad person, he's a flawed one. he isn't good at communication, and he's still making up for mistakes he couldn't take back.
He thinks with the common sense of a child, it's a flaw. but it's not a glaring one, i don't think he's a redflag. i think Ainz is trying, and the more chapters come out, the more i see it. so everyone needs to chill out alittle..

So in note|| I'll definately keep reading if more chapters come out. <3 [chapter 45].

This was also how I interpreted the story. I don't get why the others just think he's an asshole

The thing about art is that it resonates different to everyone. Maybe something it's not that bad for you it horrible and it triggers some people.
In my case, I did understand both POVs but I still think it was a shitty move, although their whole relationship was a mess (ML and OGFL).
Probably bc you can have the best intentions and still be an asshole bc you caused harm. The harm you inflicted doesn't disappear because you didn't have common sense and the victim isn't any less of one because you didn't mean to make them one. Most people who hurt others have their own problems, does that mean the victim is invalid?
Yes but thats the thing, the MC ISN'T his victim, she's a stranger living in his wife's body.
And up until the curse, the wife was practically gone.. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
Well but that's another thing. Just because the OGFL isn't there anymore doesn't make everything the ML did disappear...#-.-)
I mean that arguably makes it worse? The victim is dead and died miserably after what ML did. It isnt a question of whether FL is still there to blame him, its a question of whether his thoughtless actions caused irrepparable harm and they did. Now hes acting brand new with the FL in his victim's body.
