A site with potential like this, for example MyAnimeList is more then just talking about sex and/or related things, a good series isn't measured in just appearances alone, good storytelling, characterization and uniqueness are also key, artwork is good but it can only go so far as to actually represent a character's personality rather then just their bodies alone.
We don't talk about sex. The things we like have sex in them, and we're are prob looking for them/sharing them. Or trolls are doing there thing.
Not surprising when the most dominant genre on this website is yaoi.

Not really, I've been reading on here for a good while now but I just felt like joining around this time.

Probably because people have a lot of understandable curiosity about it, but it's not something you sit and chat about casually at work or over a family dinner. Even among friends, it's often not discussed, or friends' experiences are all similar. It's a good place to comfortably talk about things that might be outside the comfort, manners or even morals of a person's real life environment.
But there don't seem to be as many people who want to sit around and discuss literary topics. There are more on the individual mangas' comments, but they're not often in-depth, objective discussions. I guess people come here not to think that deeply?
Manga and Anime are made up of both positives and negatives alike, for me I am more attuned with the former, everyone has their own moral compass.

This site focuses on yaoi the most. You can find hetero under Shonen, shoujo, josei, seinen, ecchi, or sometimes mature. Or go to other sites if you don’t want to see so much yaoi

Not even Hentai, I mean a real proper feel good about yourself romance series that doesn't have to be in your face about fanservice, don't get me wrong, healthy fanservice is fine but it alone can't provide the definition of a true romance.
I agree, that’s partly why I don’t really read djs because 99% of the ones I see are like that. I agree with the response from PapaKuku though, on this site and others your best bet is to go to the doujinshi category http://www.mangago.zone/genre/Doujinshi/
and tap on the genres you don’t want, like yaoi, yuri, etc. and hope for the best
When you look at the manga directory, just select doujinshi and cross out yaoi & shounen ai, that should help you find what you want?
