i stopped around ch 40 bc the characters were so unlikeable. the mc keeps doin stupid things like leading them to the secret library. does it get better later on bc i rly want to like this ):

this is an actual genre that got popular around the 20th-21st century in china. this type of cultivation manhua is a genre called xianxia or wuxia and is based around martial arts adventures/cultivation progression and badass mcs. there are hundreds of manhuas in this genre OFC its going to have similar aspects bc the setting is usually in HISTORICAL CHINA. its also heavily influenced by daoism and buddhism so the mcs have the same principles/rules/ and thinking. if u dont like dont read. for example dont go reading romance if u dont like it in the first place to comment bullshit when ppl are working hard to translate this for ppl who actually enjoy this genre. this causes translations projects to be dropped. PLEASE. STOP. BEING. THAT. PERSON.
Thank you! I usually don't have a problem with people who read a story from their usual genre choices even if they think they might have some problematic aspects. But hating on the story's genre itself leaves a bad taste in my mouth, always.
