Just found the raws for Otoshiana ni Hamerarete (the title mentioned in the summary) if you guys are curious: http://yaoi18.com/0613-3/
Haha I feel so nostalgic. Not only was this my first Gintama dj but also my first contact with the series xDD
You too?! Because of these Djs, I'm going to try watching the series!
Then I should give you a lil warning if you plan to watch it xD It's really long (200+ eps) and it has a VERY slow start, so you'll need a lot of patience till you get to the great parts of the plot ;D
I don't mind. I use to be a hardcore anime nerd in my teens (currently 22) then I grew out of it and went to KDramas. Then I got bored of those because most of them are melodramas (I hate those). So I went back to anime, but haven't found anything good or long to watch. Just finished the Bakemonogatari series and Golden Time. On to Gintama!
Haha then I hope you'll have fun with it :3 I could also try to recommend you some more if you'd like. Just tell me what you enjoy watching :)
I'm a romance person! But I don't mind if the romance is a sub plot. I just need a good story and characters I'll eventually come to love aka they need to grow as a person somehow. I'm okay with any genre really. But as I mentioned before I really don't like super melodramatic or sad things. I get if it start off happy and ends on a sad note but I don't like to feel depressed every episode.
This probably the most vague explanation ever.
Hmm then maybe you'll like some of those since I'm also a romance person that's not into melodrama xD
Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou (very sweet and relaxing)
Kimi no na wa (a movie, sweet with stunning animation)
Soredemo Sekai wa Utsukushii (please don't be put off by the fact that the guy is a 14-15 years old, this is actually a really good shoujo)
Lovely Complex (sweet and very fun)
Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo (this one is hilarious and every character is lovable în some way)
Konno Danshi Hiroimashita (OVA, shounen-ai, unique and colourful artstyle)
Doukyuusei (a movie, shounen-ai, very sweet and down to earth)
Yuri on Ice (it's really popular right now, so maybe you've watched it already? But it's a very entertaining and positive sports anime and I love every character, especially the MC. And one of its many surprises is that it offers us a romantic relatonship between 2 main characters, which are both guys. I've never seen that in a sports anime ♡)
Those don't really feature any romance, but the characters really grow throughout the story:
Kanojo to Kanojo no Neko Everything Flows (this will hit the heart of any pet owner)
Omoide no Marnie (a movie, emotional, has a great twist towards the end)
Mob Psycho 100 (I love both the quirky artstyle and the character development)
Barakamon (comedy + slice of life)
Usagi Drop (very sweet and family centred)
Ahhh I hope you don't mind it but most of these are only 12 episodes long series ;w; Anyways, I avoided giving you those that end with cliffhangers
So I'll go down the list.
Haven't seen the first two, but will check them out.
Saw #3 and loved it! Binge watched the whole thing. I don't mind age gaps at all. Don't really see what the fuss is about. The age the story setting is in, it's not that weird. People really need to stop describing a fictional environment like it follows the way reality works. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Read the whole of #4 manga.
Love #5's manga. Never got to check the anime yet. Hope the voice acting is good.
I'm ambivalent with shounen ai (prefer Yaoi) but I'll check it out!
I LOVE YURI ON ICE! It was my first anime to get me into look for more anime to watch. Always used to watch figure skating and ice dancing on TV when I was younger. And it brought back so many memories. (▰˘◡˘▰)
Any Studio Ghibli creation is a masterpiece. My favorites are Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away.
Will check out the others.
Usagi Drop's ending was a twist (at the time) I didn't see coming, but I didn't mind it. I mean it could only really go two ways imo. Age gaps are pretty common in my ethnicity's culture so it didn't shock me as much as it did to others. (I mean my mom is 9 years younger then my dad ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭) They are pretty normal to me.
Anyway, thanks for the recommendations! Will go through this list!
Aw thanks! I'm okay with those lengths. Better then nothing!
I've just found some more I could recommend you:
Arakawa under the bridge (2 season, silly comedy + a bit of romance, it has its deep moments)
Osomatsu-san (comedy and the first episode is pure parody, I don't really like the ending but it's still one fun ride)
Sakamoto desu ga? (now, the MC is the incarnation of cool)
Tokyo Godfathers (a movie, I just love anything by Satoshi Kon)
And I've just realized I mispelled the name of the shounen-ai OVA one. It's actually Konno Danshi Ningyo Hiroimashita xP
And going down with what you said too...
#3 That's my fave shoujo anime <3 I'm glad you love it too :3
#5 Tbh I really liked the voice acting in this one :)
Omg yes! Another Yuri on Ice fan!! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧ My mom asked me to watch it with her when she saw my enthusiasm for it and ended up loving it just as much as I did xD She even said she wanted a cup with Victor and Yuuri xDD
Mines are Spirited Away and Omoide no Marnie :D
I haven't read the manga yet, but I know about that twist. And I'm totally fine with age gaps, but their relationship was so precious the way it was that I didn't really want it to change -__-
Anyway, I hope you'll have a great time with those you have not watched yet~ :3
I LOVE GOLDEN TIME, IT MADE ME SAD :(
I know! I cried way too much. But I'm a sap.
