He said it was hard to use magic earlier so I guess magic takes a while to deploy, or it’s obvious af when your gonna use it.
Next we don’t know the standards of powerful in this world yet.
We also haven’t seen the bandits’ status yet so I guess there is that.
Also for all we know the blessings the gods gave probably just gave him a bit of a head start.
Also the bandits were more skilled and had actual combat experience against other humans in life or death situations.
(This just my theory on why he is being pathetic but we will see in the next chapter)
