im crying at how this doesnt have the genre tag romance or drama, bc with this plot and these amazing characters 10/10 i would sell my soul for some triangle love, second male lead syndrome, and even trauma.

at first i was like omg finally a character who’s noncliche, but that was a lie. i couldn’t see the character build from her, she let love control her feelings and broke down her wall FAST. it’s a cute story, but i think i’ve been reading this stuff for far too long (around 16 years now) and i’m done, it’s so hard to find new stories. it was good while it lasted! i love this story though, in my opinion i just don’t want to read it lol no hate at all !!!

in the manga world, it’s all about betrayal and trust, the queen simply likes the guard bc he’s acting kind to her. im sorry but for her to not like dowun just because he’s being rude to her shouldn’t be compared to when she had nothing and brought her education up and what not. her love faded because she wanted to hear that she did good. well sorry that shit ain’t something in the real world. in the real world, we all would love him too. realistically it’s yourself first, and dowun is doing just that. i vouch for dowun, he just needs to find himself bc all he has been thinking was to bring back his clan. edit: i don’t ship her with dowun if that’s what 99.99% of u ppl think. i’m literally just saying dowun has a reason for why he’s acting the way he is, and NO it’s not a excuse for being the way he is bc he’s literal being a bitch and he doesn’t have to act that way to get his way. and i personally love the guard be he’s the first one to show love to her

I think i get what you’re saying, but, since the beginning, Dowun’s been a manipulative jerk that has shown little to know affection for our FL save for the times that have been convenient for him. He’s purposefully broken her down emotionally and not allowed her to thrive as her own person and instead as his pawn. I get what you’re saying, that there’s a reason he is the way he is, but for you to say that the reason she doesn’t like him is because he isn’t nice to her is a bit of a reach. She is becoming disinterested because she wants someone that’ll be there for her when she needs him. Not just when he feels like it. For her, that person rn is the guard. You can’t completely dispose of her feelings when making your opinion. You can vouch for Dowun as much as u want and feel like he’s justified but don’t make her feelings seem like they’re worth nothing.

Reasons... In other word, excuses. Dowun is using her, manipulating her naive nature to get his way. He helped her to grow, but she grew up painfully, which I wish nobody would go through. If she wants to keep someone who is kind like the guard, she can do so. She's not obligated to stay with the person who broke her morality & judgement. Even if Dowun has what you called "reasons", that doesnt excuse him for being an asshole.

I agree with you on Dowun not necessarily being a bad person because we don’t know his past and his side hasn’t really been told. It isn’t fair to judge someone without knowing their full story. BUT you can’t really say that he’s a good person. Even if we do find out that he has a reason for his actions, that doesn’t give him an excuse for being a big jerk and expecting no consequences. I don’t really have any love for him, but what I do have is pity. Pity because something in his head is telling him to go against a moral human nature and act like a jerk which is seemingly out of necessity for his goals.
