Okay so I’m only on chapter 17, but I don’t understand how her villain act makes sense. If she wants to save her family isn’t she going about it the wrong way? I understand flushing out the spy, but why be hateful to everyone one else? Does she drop the act and freaking apologize eventually?? I’m not liking this story too much but I’ll keep going to see if it gets better. I just need to know if it’s worth it.
this is why you gotta read even further. she's being bitchy so that the ladies in waiting will quit. therefore those who quit are actually not spies because they'd have to keep their jobs in order to get information from her. why does she have to act nice when she's not safe in the palace? she needs alliances and she's just fishing out the fakes. she's actually really nice and her plan is really smart

It’s too much. This is literally a story about rape and gangrape by supposedly “normal” high school boys. This uke has not one shred of joy. There is no decency in any of his rapists. Are we supposed to believe that an honor student with no clear signs of mental illness is an abusive rapist just because he likes a guy? I wanna stick with this to see th uke get free and the lead rapist go down but man this is getting to be rape for the sake of rape and idk if I can deal.

The fact that Ivan left his family to keep them from destroying him says a lot about what kind of man he is. The fact that Ivan can’t see past his own pain and revenge to see just how much Alec looked up to him solidifies the fact that Alec is a bitch. You can’t keep someone you love by destroying them.
When Hen finds out what happened between the three of them it just may well destroy him. I hope Ivan can hold on to him tight enough and bring him through it.
