It's amazing. The anime is phenomenal and the manga is also so well written it honestly lives up to the popularity. The art isn't as beautiful (in the manga) as in OPM or Berserk, but it has its unique charm. Feels more traditional than digital tbh.
The only reason this guy can hate the author is because Gege Akutami does not hesitate to kill off their (often beloved) characters.
