I get why JJ bottled up his feelings. Its just my opinion but maybe he was afraid that if he tell leo anything, leo would end up dumping him.Hes probably insecure cuz leo is something while he's nothing. Like what he said on chapter 7 leo can get any man he wants. And also in prev chapter leo always cut JJ whenever he is speaking, he made their conversation everything about him. I know JJ should have communicated his feelings but at some point you want your partner to notice you, to feel that you are somewhat special, maybe that's why JJ asked if leo sees him as his boyfriend cuz he never see any difference on how Leo treat his friends and him. I also base on what the guy on the car said, that JJ has always been transparent and how leo treated JJ.
