I'm speculating on Na-kyum's painter's bag, more specifically, its 4 knots on the string. My mind went so far as to think that could be the total number of paintings he'd draw for Seungho (so looong between episoooodes). Or maybe that's when his role of a painter stops. So far, he's had 2 paintings distroyed - the large one, the one spoiled by water -, one with Jinwa aaand one with him as an unwilling subject. Yet... future experiences could provide future artistic scenes.
But I've seen that in chapter 30 there are 5 knots, at some point. And overall, it seems to me that someone else drew this chapter, except maybe for the close-ups and the ''colouring of the skin''(<=what's the technical word for this? :>). It this foreshadowing detail had any weight, the author/main artist would have made sure it had continuity in all the scenes, throughout the chapters...
So I don't know.

I do know though that there hasn't been any other creative work that grabbed my interest so swiftly and completely, so far as to speculate on its further development!

It's been 10 years* since she's been inside the novel, and she was 25 in the ''real world''.
So she's actually a 35 year old amusing herself over the backstage machinations of a complicated contest at love.

*at least; that, without counting the period that passed since she mentioned it (all the way back before meeting the 3 fishies)

Ok, remember when Arwin was floating along, minding his own machiavelyness and saw Ibelin and Latte on that alleyway? He noticed Latte's mana. Mana is something that not every character has - the magicians painstakingly imbue scrolls with it, the knight also uses it to freeze enemies of all forms in their places. But that's about it. Also, at the scroll shop, why would Latte be (almost) called ''gullible''? The scrolls work, and it's clear to all they're expensive.
Could it be that she's gifted with some sort of power of her own that, once mastered, would render the scrolls useless?

Yup. Latte has mana but it is extremely rare in that world. Arwin, magicians and the Prince are the only characters who are able to use magic (as far as we know) I am assuming that she has magic because she transmigrated to that world. Since most people can't use magic, the shopkeeper thinks that Latte is a gullible customer like almost all other customers who buy scrolls.

It could be, since she's otherworldy, that she has a lil' extra from beyond (the mana), but that wouldn't help the narrative in any way, it'd be maybe an overlooked detail. And the author really owns her narrative, from the detail to the overall flow of the story (well, I do think the Prince should make an appearance soon or he'll be forgotten).

I still think the word itself is used with a purpose that will be revealed further down the line. Because, as I said, the scrolls' value and utility check out, they do work and they are indeed expensive. But in way is she being fooled?
For a user of magic devoid of mana, a scroll is a perfectly adequate tool. So if you'd call this user names, you'd maybe say ''poor you'' or I don't know, ''mana-lacking money cow''. But not gullible; more so when the author is pretty savvy at her choice in words. But who knows?

It was the mana from the scrolls. It wasn’t actually her own mana.

Ch 12, p. 14. I may stand corrected, Arwin says ''That fellow, she's got A mana?'', so he could simply be referring to the mana infused scroll she'd soon rip apart, dang it.

Yeah, she’s got mana. In the scrolls. Notice how he loses interest in her when he next appears.

He didn't. Latte said it. Arwin : Lv 10 magic (my autocorrect was changing Arwin to Arson, lol) Kenneth : Lv 10 swordsmanship and Romdemio : Lv 8 swordsmanship, Lv 7 magic (or vise versa)
I can't remember properly since it was at the beginning of the story.

...that there was a trace of Yoon's green robe [in the panel with the shattered mirror] left behind on purpose, by Nakyum, as a way of cutting all ties, erasing all memories, at least through the material things. And maybe discarding the paint brushes, too, irremediably broken for better effect, so as to be done with that as well.

Ok, hope it's low enough to safely write some possible scenarios:

- maybe, just maybe, the run-away duo are hoping to find shelter at the ones that let the Lusty one go, Yoon's family. They'd be noble enough, powerful enough to at least hide them further, if not blatantly give them shelter.
- I think Scholar boy has some mixed up feelings for the Painter, but he's repressing them; not the romantic kind (he's ultra, mega, give me a break snobbish), but the loin-warming kind. He kinda pities the mind, but boy does he appreciate the love struck face. Anyway, if it hadn't been for the very eventful night with the realization of rape, rape no 2, shame, desperation//guilt, frustration & jealousy, and the almost murder, the Scholar, as the piece of chess that he is, would have better been put to use on a lukewarm position (not yet powerful), awaaaay from Yoon's household but under his thumb. That way, Yoon has the time and the blackmailing material, minus the distracting, competing factor that sometimes shames our sweet painter into hedgehog mode.
- I don't know why, but I think it highly possible for Nakyum to go suicidal, if cornered even more, teacher or no. IF he and the teacher ran away together, they'll soon be sitting, hungry, powerless ducks. But I think one's holed up somewhere near, another, looking for refuge or for enemies of the enemy.
- a powermove on Yoon's part would have been to show Nakyum his beloved teacher's true colors, rotten core and all, while in an undignified position, so to speak. This high regard is his biggest competitor, and he's merely putting sex and mind games against it, which is a bit unexpectedly weak, since he's very good at thinking ahead in order to get what he wants. Yes, he's used to effortlessly bullying someone into submission, but still.
