32 chapters in and I still don't see a reason to like the female lead.
Pretty obvious the guy had stalker issues, which she should know about considering he accused her of being the stalker. At some point she'll probably stop thinking about herself and proactively help others. But until then, she's just coming across as a charity case atm.
with stories around a dystopia, you'll find the setting always starts with all the good stuff making it out to be a utopia etc, drawing your attention away from the downsides and moral implications whilst making you aware of them.
This is clearly giving the same sort of vibes,
the girl and the mc seem happy both got a long together at first etc
but then there's the hints that it's not all as it seems, like her having sex with him despite her saying she didn't want to etc and yielding to him.
Then also the fact that she disagrees with his opinion about an anime etc.
Then there's him cheating on her etc.
It's deliberately trying to appeal to the audiences moral conscience.
If this was wish fulfilment or some twisted author, this would not happen.
Quite often the authors to these dystopian esc plots, are vehemently against the dystopian realities they themselves conceived.
My only gripe would be that it's moving a little too quickly and a little too bluntly to try to actually sell you the idea and betray your initial conceptions a little more.
But since some people are commenting stuff like "THE AUTHOR MUST HAVE SOME PROBLEM" etc, I guess all I can say is that it appears to some it's clearly not blunt enough... each to their own ¯_(ツ)_/¯.
Chapter 16 page 11 "It was the guild's fault for not telling you that" -Bullshit it's totally her fault, not knowing the laws is not an excuse to break them. If you join an organisation and agree to consent to their terms of service (like she did with the adventurer's guild) it is her responsibility to become familiar with those terms of service, not the guilds!
For deliberately not reporting subjugation shes disrupted the livelihoods and careers of many adventurers, how can she be let off so leniently? She needs to at least to reimburse the victims (adventurer's who wasted time and supplies to search for and investigate monsters which no longer existed.).
How she can take no responsibility for the consequences of her actions it's actually disgusting.
Don't let such evil deeds get swept under the rug!
Wow.....
1. By subjugating the monster first she protected people. And the adventurers can use the supplies for another time.
2. While I get that not learning the rules proactively was her fault. The guild is an organization that manages adventurers who are putting their lives on the line. So they are both equally at fault.
3. She is a child, from another world, in a work of fiction. Cut her some slack and stop reading into it so much.
I thought I was the only one bothered about it...
Aside from stealing the livelihood of other adventurers, another thing that disturbed me is that she hunts too much without precaution, destroying the balance of ecosystem diversity.
And it's not like she hunts them for necessity, she hunts as practice. (● ̄(エ) ̄●)
I don't really understand what you were trying to say by 'up till now as good as none' lols. I totally enjoy other isekai stories even with this mindset of mine, why don't you try analyzing your own mindset for a change, just because we have an opinion about a part of something does not mean we hate it as a whole, it's just that we were that 'into' the story. Goodness it's sooo hard to have opinions these days.
Well the main activity in most isekai stories is the killing of different creatures. So it's hard for me to imagine how one can enjoy that story while thinking about the ecosystem balance of that world. Whenever such a thought crosses my mind I silence it. Otherwise I couldn't really enjoy the story. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Story better than I thought it'd be.
